Midnight Motivations and Musings #2

1455032120129[1]

Winning our individual battle fields in our minds emanates from what we plant in there daily.

We can choose to find ourselves beautiful instead of relying on others to dictate if we are beautiful.

We can choose to plant courage instead of fear. Love instead of hatred. A can do and willing to try attitude instead of I can’t.

A constant repetition brings belief, a change of mind and confidence.

What is that thing that your heart is set on? Do not relent. Crawl, limp, trudge, walk ….. just keep moving.

Lost And Found…Mundane Monday.

Trablogger says, this is is a challenge created to find beauty in almost everything. The challenge is simple : find beauty in everyday mundane things, capture the beauty and upload the photographs.

Is yours missing?

This must be it.

Found it lying by the roadside when I was taking a walk. These wheel covers have a penchant of getting lost.

A Toast To Good Writing…Monday Meme

1454852345285[1]

Quick Quirky Fact

  • Agatha Christie was still speaking to her imaginary friends well into her seventies.

So, don’t worry about those friends inhabiting your head. You’ve not gone cuckoo yet 😉

  • F. Scott Fitzgerald once danced on the lawn of publishers Doubleday to attract Joseph Conrad; the caretaker noticed him and had him removed.

I am just planting some ideas here 🙂

It’s always lovely to start the week and each day as much as we can with a smile and positive outlook. I find Leannenz Monday memes interesting.

Do have a fruitful and blessed week awesome people.

Thankfully, it was flowers instead of rotten tomatoes…What I got up to in January and now.

Yes! I started my YouTube VLog Channel this January. It was something that I wanted to start doing a while back, but kept pushing it back and getting jittery until sometime last week, my little reminder that I set for myself prodded me after I had written a short poem in a restaurant.

Of course, the voice of procrastination tried to convince me to put if off till the next day when I would feel more comfortable but the little voice of encouragement within me asked ‘What is the worst thing that can happen?’ What do you stand to gain? How would you feel if you don’t do it? Once I clarified these thoughts in my mind, I pressed the button.

One thing that I have learnt, is that there is never a perfect moment. It may never be perfect, but what I know for sure is that, you are the one that perfects your moments and days as much as you can. It didn’t turn out so badly and I got some decent feedback as well.

Why am I vlogging you may care to ask?

Asides from reading poetry, I want to use it as a platform to start working on my Inspiration and Motivational channel as a Lifestyle coach. However, it’s one day at a time and in stages. There are so many learning curves and things to be done.

Here is my second Vlog below, if you would like to listen and this is the link for the previous one just in case you missed it.

JAZZ

All that jazz.
I listen to the tinkles of the water
The thrums of the guitar
And the deep rhythm of the bass

No words said
You stare me in the eyes

The mirrored look
Caught within your pupils
Reverberates all the Love
Trapped inside

Aching to flow out
A syllable at a time.

A Wellspring…

Just a few weeks ago, it was Christmas, then New Year and now January 2016 has come an end. It’s gone forever. We can only witness future January’s of other years, but never the last one.1454425406714[1]

January took some famous and acclaimed personalities with it, as well as so many other souls, but a whole lot of us are blessed to be well and see another new month cycle in.

That just keeps drawing the transient state of our lives home, that we truly have to spend our days living our best lives now and being happy with it.

As we pursue our dreams and aspirations with tenacity, buoyed with the desire to achieve a whole lot of different things, I am thankful for having had the Grace to stay on course with a good number of things that I set to do.

I am grateful that I have not lost the courage or the zeal to keep pushing along, because it is really so easy to get derailed with the little things that life throws in our path.

I am grateful for the stream of ideas that keeps coming to me and the strength to see them through. Sometimes, the wellspring of inspiration and creativity can run dry, leaving one grasping, so, for me, it is indeed a privilege thus far, to have a fountain that bubbles with inspiration.

I am grateful that for the first time in months, the aches and pains that plagued me has receded quite a bit and I can pencil this down to the consistent little exercising that I have been doing.

I feel a lot more limber and thankful for that. Sometimes, the discomfort of my Myalgia that I have in my back would keep me uncomfortable and awake at nights.

Living in a state of thankfulness, keeps the elusive Unicorn of Happiness close by. That way, you get to ride on it often enough.

Welcome to a new month of abundant blessings and inspiration. Never forget that the little seed of gratitude that you sow, grows into a bountiful harvest for your thanksgiving.

Tuesday Trickles #7…My Thinking Corner.

Every Tuesday, I share snippets of thoughts that I call ‘My Thinking Corner.’

I would like to invite you to participate. The challenge is quite simple.

Each Tuesday, share your very short snippets of positive, inspiring, motivating, health, spiritual, writing advice, clips, posts etc, that can serve as a prop to motivate others and simply add my link to your post.

I call it my thinking corner because, I actually take out a bit of time just to think through things, encapsulate my thoughts as much as possible and detoxify my mind.

It might work for you in a different way, but the idea is to get the positive thoughts flowing.

Please send in your little thoughts. You never know whose life you might inspire.

1454329689131[1]

Affirm positive words over your life each day. They are little pebbles that helps you find your way.

If we spend our lives worrying about being judged, then we will simply do no living, because either sides of the coin, You will be judged!

You have to live in the present, to get the best from it. There is no better time for your best life other than now. Tomorrow, will arrive at it’s appointed time and you will deal with it equally.

On those rainy days and dark days of our lives, we must keep a flicker of light and an umbrella to shelter ourselves during such periods. The flicker of light and umbrella can be kept in the storehouse within you.

Peace is not going to run and grasp you by the hands. You run to peace and hold on to it with your tentacles as a consciously cultivated effort. Sometimes, having peace might involve letting go of some people who are simply not good for you.

Very wise thoughts sent in from Deb of Bookyglover

When you are not so sure, you could try doing this from Rosema of the Reading writer.

Can we hear you think aloud? Please do tell and join in with your little snippets.

Regards,

Just For You…

1454311376168[1]

Quick motivational fact:

  • Walt Disney was fired from the Kansas City Star in 1919 because, his editor said, that he ‘lacked imagination and had no good ideas.’

Well, he obviously proved the editor wrong!

  • J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter novels was a waitress and on public assistance, when she wrote the first part of what would become one of the best selling series in history. The book was rejected by a dozen publishers. The only reason it got published at all was because the CEO’s eight year old daughter begged him to publish it.

That speaks for itself. So, rise and glow. Don’t let one or even several measly rejections keep you down. Your dream is as big as you want it to be.
