Reflections…

Enrich my soul

That it may find words to say

Fill my heart with things pure

That your goodness may reflect from me

Show yourself mighty in my life

So that all may see and know

That none who turns to you

Can remain shackled and enslaved.

Nor be turned away empty.

No matter how careful we are.

No matter how well we plan.

We never know what lies down the next bend on this journey of ours.

We never know what curve ball that is heading our way.

How deep we would be tossed into the cold waters

Oh how high into the winds it would flip us.

Nevertheless, in all these uncertainties

There are rudders and life buoys that helps us steer and keeps us afloat

These are the things that we must always hold on to in our life aid kit.

For day to day, we never know when we will need each of these things.

No Mars!!…

WP, I never told you that I am on a mission to Mars. You chose to send me without asking. Well, I am not going there. So in defiance to your mission to Mars, I have written you a little explanation. Good evening.

Why would I want to go to Mars?
Can I get there in my car?

Though I love seeing the Stars
I’d rather view them from afar

To do what again if I may ask?
I am not interested in such a task.

It’s not as if there’s much to find
And No! I don’t have Mars on my mind.

Except the Mars that comes in bars
Now that’s good chocolate and not so bad.

Food. Yes. It is one thing that we all partake of throughout our lives. It evokes a whole lot of good feelings and memories in most of us.

It is used to celebrate virtually every form of congregation known to man and as a former food business owner, it is a very profitable business, but also a slave master that requires so much work to produce a piece of delicacy that is consumed in a bite.

As though Linda is aware of my last night’s secrets of eating a little more helping from the buffet, with the prompt word ‘Food,’ I might as well confess and write the thoughts that I had when my eyes beheld the arrays of edible brilliance.
