Noise and A Peek In The Men’s Beauty World…Echoes of my neighbourhood.

On Thursday’s, I share pictures about ‘Echos of my Neighbourhood.

I would like to invite you to participate. The challenge is quite simple.

Every Thursday, share a photo of bits and pieces of wherever you are at any point in time. It could be houses, backgrounds of your neighbourhood, activities and so forth and you can tag it Echos of my Neighbourhood, add my link to your post so that I will get the ping from your post.

Every other Thursday, I will publish a post with the links of all those who participated the previous week.

This is just a fun way of getting to see more of the World around us through your eyes since we cannot all be at those places, we could at least, see them through you.

The beauty of Burj at night as we drive by.

This week’s echoes is a mix of several faces and places. From shopping for groceries to going with my bloke and the boys to get a haircut where yours truly spent some time being more observant than usual to the business of manly grooming.

I saw men threading their eyebrows to make it look less bushy. Lot’s of scalp shaving with a scary blade, massaging, barbing, shampooing and rubbing of scalps. Interesting outing I must say 😉

With the children on Spring break, a bit more leisure time so taking them to the cinema and some skating play time  was involved.

Thanks to Kat, I got the idea to include a video of real echoes of my neighbourhood, which I will do from time to time. This was fun to do. We drove and I stuck the camera up to catch a one minute video.

Please watch and let me know what you think.

Thank you 🙂

Finding Bright Pops…

Finding pop was not as easy as I anticipated. Hmm! The Photo 101 themes are getting tricky.

I had to look in-house and out-house for any relatively satisfying pop.

My meandering made it starkly obvious that we love rich, vibrant textures here and the shinier, the more attractive it seems.

Anyway, I managed to scrounge for a few popping items *at least in my eyes*.

Things That Make Me Go Hmm!…

Today’s theme for Photo 101 is bliss. Well, it falls in rather nicely today. Yesterday it rained ceaselessly that the school sent a mail of no school today, so yours truly started having bliss from last night at the thought that I don’t have to jump up at 4:30 in the morning. Yours truly lounged in bed. Now that is bliss 🙂

My source of bliss are derived from the simple satisfaction that I can find in the daily life around me.

I make a conscious effort to cultivate a heightened sense of contentment and each source depends totally on my frame of mind.

Something as little as seeing a happy dog, gives me a sense of joy.

Below are some things that signify bliss for me.

The flash of lissome thighs
As her skirt flounced with the dance
Set his spirits on high

************

His flash of false teeth
And his toupee that flew with his twist
Made her dance steps falter.

Midnight Motivation And Musings # 16…

1455885042936[1]

Sometimes, it does seem that once you are on a set path to achieving certain goals, that is when life picks up extra ideas to set all manners of distractions along your way.

It’s however up to you on how you choose to handle the scenarios.

Sometimes, these distractions are those ones that we cannot help and are regarded as ‘life happens.’ In such cases, I always repeat this mantra in my head ‘and this too shall pass,‘ while trying to stay focused and above the water not to get carried away with the current.

Then sometimes, these distractions come by way of other unreliable and pessimistic humans whom we allow into our lives.

I don’t believe in playing nice with anyone whose primary ambition and pleasure is to circumvent my growth. I simply find a corner on my shelf that is dusty and disused and place the person there.

There is simply no time to waste with such wet dampening blankets around you.

Remember, you can choose those who dine on your table and send them forth quickly, but you’ve got to be very mindful about those whom you allow to dine in the inner courts of your heart.

Dangerous!

I very much doubt if I will be eager to put my money in these bags.

It might just eat it up.

Or maybe it’s meant to bite the fingers of anyone who tries to nick a penny 😉
