Midnight Motivations and Musings #24

1456992575852[1]

So many latent talents lies in each and every one of us, so it always surprises me when someone says that they don’t have any talents.

That is an absolute lie. Every human was created equipped with a store house of dormant talents waiting to be tapped.

Some are out-rightly glaring in the face of the bearer and everybody around them, while some talents have to be discovered, developed and honed to bring out it’s optimum potential.

The more an iron is rubbed on a grinding stone, the sharper it becomes. When these potentials are not explored, the natural tendency is that it well remain stunted and never mature to any fruitful stage.

Some are simply too lazy to want to bother taking the time to think and find out that thing that really makes their heart sing.

In some cases, some move with whatever seems to be in vogue at that point in time.

Just because everybody else is doing it does not make it fit or right for you.

At the end of the day, when the movement becomes directionless and like driftwood, frustration sets in, time passes by and they wonder what happened to their lives.

It’s never too late to find and enjoy the talents that have been poured into you. Age notwithstanding.

It’s only too late when life is gone and the grave yard becomes the depository of potentials which have been allowed to go to waste.

P.S. check the word talent and latent… can you see that they both spell the same.

Tuesdays Trickles…My Thinking Corner 11.

Every Tuesday, I share snippets of thoughts that I call ‘My Thinking Corner.’

I would like to invite you to participate. The challenge is quite simple.

Each Tuesday, share your very short snippets of positive, inspiring, motivating, health, spiritual, writing advice, clips, posts etc, that can serve as a prop to motivate others and simply add my link to your post.

I call it my thinking corner because, I actually take out a bit of time just to think through things, encapsulate my thoughts as much as possible and detoxify my mind.

It might work for you in a different way, but the idea is to get the positive thoughts flowing.

Please send in your little thoughts. You never know whose life you might inspire.

♦ When you’ve achieved everything but you failed to love anyone and impact on them positively, you’ve achieved nothing.

♦ Living a more intentional life, leaves little room for waste.

♦ Whatever time that is not used well is lost. You will never get it back again, however, remember that rest is part of it, so that you do not experience diminishing returns from exhaustion. The idea is to create balance.

♦ You don’t have time to join issues with everybody. Choose your battles wisely. If something is not adding any value to your life and purpose, then it is probably not worth wasting valuable energy on.

♦ Your joy is dependent on you and can only be stolen when you allow it to be so.

Our Thinkers Thoughts came in from:

Deb of Bookyglover words are always succinctly stated. Observing these little things can go a long way to a fulfilled life.

Giggles & Tales in Stella’s words ‘Life is a bristle of challenges. Life is filled with ups and downs. But no matter the difficulties, don’t allow it to kill your enthusiasm for success.’ The rest of her wise words can be found in her link.

Kingsoracle sometimes, we need to take those quantum leaps of risks to make any head way. Oba’s words strike a chord in me.

Striving Mom words on taking note of your life lessons are words that we should repeat to ourselves everyday.

A Thomas point of view makes me want to keep striving and so should you.

Anette’s With these three simple things from a Hippie Chick who knows her worth, you’ve got it going right.

Thank you to all the contributors. May these words take roots in our lives and may our harvest be bountiful 🙂

‘So, when will you share those nuggets of wisdom of yours?’

Midnight Motivations and Musings #20..

1455887357056[1]

There are times when all looks dim and bleak, but if we look hard enough, there is always a way, no matter how tight that way may appear.

At that point in time when we are passing through hellish moments, we don’t stop to wallow in it and in self-pity. We have to keep moving.

Even if our will power is flagging, look to someone’s own to latch on to. There is absolutely no shame in leaning on someone’s shoulder momentarily while you catch your breath if need be. People are sent into our lives at some points in time for reasons such as this.

The only shame is in giving up because you have the fear of being judged or you are too proud. The persons judgement is not your problem.

Your problem is in staying focused and getting out of the miry bog in which you are stuck in.

Know that even at the end of the darkest tunnel, there will always be found a sliver of light, and, yes the darkness will pass. For the only constant in life is change and no situation ever remains permanent.

Surviving your test allows you the opportunity to be a testimony to others and someone else’s leaning post at one point in time or the other.

Be patient as you strive and keep looking in the way of the light.

Midnight Motivation And Musings #18

1456476573169[1]

There are times when we are inadvertently hit by blows that destiny sends our way. Blows that we may never have been in a position to deflect, but one thing is that we can choose our attitude towards how the rest of our lives continues after these experiences.

Are we going to be stuck on the ‘Woe is me junction?’ Filled with bitterness and the bile of it all?

What purpose will that serve? None! Except building up the bile and angst, which is dangerous for our wellness and state of being.

Now, there are also incidents and hurts inflicted on us by others and we bear grudges the size of a mountain for them.

That’s giving someone rent free space in your head. Space that could be used for better things than dwelling on bitterness that takes us nowhere.

Forgiving them does not mean that you have forgotten the lesson learnt from the bitter experience, but it’s a way of setting yourself free.

Allowing these bitterness to dictate your life means that you will always remain in the victim mindset loop.

Cut yourself loose. Whatever it will take to get your life back, talk about it, cry about it, write about it, pray about it…..

….Set your heart free and get your life back.

Midnight Motivations And Musings #15

Those who crave for the moon have to learn how to reach for the stars, even when life knocks you on your back. As a matter of fact, that is a good position for star gazing 😉

Wishing and not doing is idle-dreaming.

Dreams are only actualized when the steps are set in motion.

Your steps should be broken into days to give your a greater opportunity to be fully present in your moments.

It makes no sense running off to make a five year’s projection, when the next weeks projection is staring you in the face without being dealt with. That my friend is simply trying to play the game of delayed procrastination with your time.

Do remember that all the time that you have are equals to your life.

Step out of the revolving door and dare to fail forward.

Let’s Create A Fine Chain By Sharing The Links…

1456149614808[1]

‘Welcome to all my new follows and friends and Welcome to the click-a-link club.

I appreciate the choice you made in deciding to follow my blog, which I consider as a present.

If you notice, as much as I am a very individually minded person, I am also a very community minded and conscious person. In simple terms, I like people.

In here, I try to have a warm atmosphere that is welcoming for all and I cook in large quantities, because I never know who is coming to tea or dinner.

So, do make yourself comfortable and feel free to say hey anytime.

Are you comfortable now? Good. Now put up your feet on that plump purple cushy foot-rest in the corner and let’s have a quick chat while you get your feet massaged.

My bit of experience of blogging has shown me how grueling it can be, from thinking of content, to content production, to tagging etc, etc and when new bloggers start, it almost seems a daunting task for them.

Nevertheless, this task can be halved and lightened by working smart.

By hanging out in crowds. Don’t be a loner. Get involved in activities happening around you and not only will your blog flourish, but your mind as well.

Going forward, I will be hosting TEA/BRUNCH get together’s once a month and I must tell you, I throw awesome parties.

The last one we had on Valentine’s weekend was fabulous and one should be coming up in March. I want to keep it to once a month so that it doe’s not get too tedious to party hard over a weekend.

However, in between that time, each evening, last thing before I put up my own two feet on my inviting bed, I will feature 5 blogs on my blog.

So here’s the deal, if you have a post that you would like to shed more light on, you can send it this way and I will take it in turns.

For the newbies, don’t be shy, even if it’s just an introduction of yourself, that will do. We all started from somewhere, but then you also have to follow the link and discover the person behind the scene.

That’s my thought. So what’s yours?…

If you are searching for challenges to join you can check this out.

Add your link in your comments if you so choose to do.

Blessed love and warm regards,

P.S. In the UAE, the time is at least 9 to 12 hours ahead of the US. So, I am turning in just a bit after you turn up.

Please Share This So Others Can Be In The Loop!
