Are you new in the town of Blogosphere?

Are you relatively young in Blog-Land?

Hello and welcome.

I know what it feels like to be a new kid on the block, wondering how I can find my footing and makes some friends.

Sometimes, it seems like a drag and takes ages, but we are here to support each other.

This is one place you can hop in and meet some awesome, lovely, friendly blogger friends of mine.

You get an opportunity to showcase yourself, interact and gain some confidence.

It shouldn’t be a worry that you don’t have so much going on in your blog at the moment.

Remember that ‘iron sharpens iron’ and you can get inspired from seeing what others are doing by mingling with them.

We are quite a supportive bunch to hang out with even if we do get to paint the town red a couple of times, it’s just in good faith 😉

Now don’t be shy, come let’s get to know you. ‘We all started from somewhere and together we grow.’

Looking forward to seeing you at brunch. The BRUNCH PARTY LINK WILL GO LIVE Tomorrow Saturday 19th – Sunday 20th March

Just bring some cookies, cakes or any bite that you would like us to taste and a sackful of love. It will be lot’s of fun 🙂

Enjoy a good day.

P.S. To my older friends. You can help by sharing this to reach other younger one’s in the zone. If you get my drift. Thank you 🙂

The Good, The Bad and The Evil…The great book of lists.

For The Great Book Of Lists, this weeks theme is a list of people throughout history that I would like to meet  *dead or alive* and without missing a beat, I know the people that I would really love to spend some time with right now.

I will concentrate on those who are no longer with us and I will start the list with the good ones.

  1. My dad. If I had a chance to choose a parent once again in my life, I would choose you. You are one of the most beautiful soul that I am  opportune to know.
  2. My grandma. She loved me.
  3. Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis – After all, I was named after her and would have loved to meet her.
  4. Princess Diana – I admired her a lot.
  5. Mother Theresa – Her generous and gentle spirit is an example of how a person can make a difference.
  6. David, The King of Israel. After reading my psalms quite a bit, I have pondered often on this great soul.
  7. Clark Gable aka Rhett Butler of Gone with the wind. I had a girl crush on him, even though he was already gone by the time I came.

The EVIL THAT MEN DO will always follow their name long after they’ve left, and these men below were simply vile.

  1. Adolf Hitler
  2. Vlad Dracula
  3. Idi Amin
  4. Joseph Stalin

The rest of the infamous evil gang can be found through this link if you wish to read 25 Most Evil.

My sole wish is to look them in their evil eyes, give them a large piece of my mind and a nice smack on the cheek. They literally got away with murder on so many horrendous degrees!!

Under the glow of the lantern, light up my life…

‘A sliver of light can make a World of difference in the state of darkness.‘ © Jacqueline Oby-Ikocha

Today’s theme makes me thank Photo 101 for giving me the purpose to share some of the numerous collections of light pictures that I have taken.

My dear Himself has had to learn lessons in patience when we go out, because I will ooh and aah over this and that, pointing and clicking away with contentment.

Dubai is a trail blazer and a light bulb of a city. They’ve got the lights going in so many ramifications especially at those high end stores, that the twinkle of the lights beckons to us like moths and we are attracted.

It’s as if the luminescent of the  bulbs whisper to you to step in and part with some money. The trick is to leave your credit cards at home and take pocket change just in case 😉

Imagine how life must have been in the dark ages before electricity :/ Candles were meant only for the wealthy back then and cost a fortune. For some reason this brings a quote to my mind which says that ‘putting off someone’s candle, will not make yours to shine brighter.’

Even an ogre can look like a prince in the hazy gaze of a dim lantern, but just make sure you get a good look at him in the brightness of broad daylight 😉

Thankfully, the days of our live’s which revolves around light of the day and darkness of the night are made sweeter under the glow of a bright bulb.

Let’s Get Together For Brunch…You Are Invited.

1458013699635[1]

Oh this is fun

And I want a bun

It’s time for lunch

Or better still let’s have a brunch

A kettle of Cardamon tea

And a slice of vanilla cake

A sip of rich coffee

And that bite of apple pie

There might be a carafe of table wine

With lots of grapes so divine

I think I spy some Easter bunnies

Please do hand me the honey

A medley of this and that

It will be a lively chat.

This is an invitation to a Pre-EASTER Brunch, taking place this weekend in this abode from Saturday 19th to Sunday 20th.

Come let’s dance into Spring with a spring in our steps.

Do keep a date and you’ll be glad you came.

I set a day reminder at the top corner of the right bar.

It will be good to have you here.

Tuesdays Trickles #13… My Thinking Corner.

Every Tuesday, I share snippets of thoughts that I call ‘My Thinking Corner.’

I would like to invite you to participate. The challenge is quite simple.

Each Tuesday, share your very short snippets of positive, inspiring, motivating, health, spiritual, writing advice, clips, posts etc, that can serve as a prop to motivate others and simply add my link to your post.

I call it my thinking corner because, I actually take out a bit of time just to think through things, encapsulate my thoughts as much as possible and detoxify my mind. It helps give me clarity of vision and might help you too.

It might work for you in a different way, but the idea is to get the positive thoughts flowing.

Please send in your little thoughts. You never know whose life you might inspire.

  • The measure of our riches is in how rich we are in spirit. There are no buts about it! If we are not rich in spirit, no amount of material wealth will satisfy.
  • In the pack of rat’s during the rat race, it’s easy to forget that the competition is against your own competency and not someone’s own. You have to find your speed and push to break your own records.
  • You have to become a friend to have one yourself. If you are prickly and unfriendly, then it goes without saying and shouldn’t be a surprise that you will find none willing to bear such consistent sour disposition.
  • The power of thinking big actually starts with the sensible act of starting small.
  • If we fail to use the seasons of our lives as we should, there will come a time when we are in the Winter of it and the questions the season will ask is what you did with the Summer of your life.

Across The Bridges..

Connections can be built in split moments, while some take a good while to be established.

Every part of human life is filled with one atom of connection or the other. From the technological services that surrounds us that makes it easy for us to be in touch with each other, to the various modes of transportation all around and to the physical fellowship with fellow mankind.

So when we consider the theme of today’s photo 101, we realize that the very essence of life is all based on the singular desire to connect.

Midnight Motivations and Musings #28

1457456420694[1]

When we go into a new venture even our writing, we must always remember that we are not writing just for ourselves.

Yes, indeed it’s true that there are some personal things that we might share to ease our minds and for a myriad of other reasons, but half of the time, your story could serve as a beacon of light for someone going through their own journey.

This equally applies to so many other aspects of our lives, business, work, relationships etc.

What value are you adding where you are?

What hand of fellowship do you extend to others or are you the constantly expectant type?

It’s a proven truth, tested and tried over time, that people will stay closer to those who make them feel welcome and more at ease.

Think back on the busted friendships and broken alliances. What went wrong? Could it be traced to attitude problems? A lot of people find it difficult to look at their shortcomings fully in the face and accept their faults.

Always recollect that attitude makes a lot of difference and leaves a lot of impressions especially in real-time.

Streets, People and Aerial Views…Photo 101

We have grey weather and forecast of three days worth of rainfall. I woke up and it wasn’t raining yet so, I quickly nipped out for my days affairs with the photo assignment for Photo 101 at the back of my mind.

I got some reward for my venture. Now it has started sprinkling a little bit.

Then and Now…

See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil has changed to:

Look at the evil with eyes wide open and if possible with magnifying lens tied to a binoculars.

Capture the data of the evil with your high definition zoom cameras.

Listen to all contorted/distorted variations of the tasty morsel of evil with big pitcher ears and headphones.

Then go ahead and shout it through every social media forum available, Telephone, Email, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc and try to break the internet by making it go viral to gain all the likes available and hopefully, the highest bidder for your captured evil will come knocking at the door with a fat cheque.
