Midnight Motivations and Musings # 72

1461655942270[1]

We are all a whirlpool of dreams and ideas but a lot of us undermine our capabilities and always nip dreams in the bud with comments like ‘oh I couldn’t,’ while looking on as others go about trying to achieve theirs.

I can’t, I couldn’t, I am afraid and so  many of such self limiting statements are defeatist and they are like monsters that simply grow bigger with the smallest confirmation.

Yes you can, but only when you’ve tried to. You’ve got nothing to lose and a whole lot to gain, if only you will have the audacity to try and have fun while at it.

Blog

10 days count down to my 1 year blogging anniversary….

Well, well, I was just trying to set my calendar for certain activities when I realized that I am only ten days to hitting a year in this space.

What do you say to that?

Now that gives me a good idea.  Stay tuned while I count down 🙂

Flawless…

I certainly like the glitter Ronovan scattered on our path this week. Life’s too short not to have some bling in it 😉

She’s a diamond of the first water.

Even the older ladies admired

her flawless, pearl smooth and glowing skin

Clear cut carats of real diamonds sparkled

on her gold based crown

mixed with countless mother of pearl seeds.

Tuesdays Trickles…My thinking corner #19

Every Tuesday, I share snippets of thoughts that I call ‘My Thinking Corner.’

I would like to invite you to participate. The challenge is quite simple.

Each Tuesday, share your very short snippets of positive, inspiring, motivating, health, spiritual, writing advice, clips, posts etc, that can serve as a prop to motivate others and simply add my link to your post.

I call it my thinking corner because, I actually take out a bit of time just to think through things, encapsulate my thoughts as much as possible and detoxify my mind. It helps give me clarity of vision and might help you too.

It might work for you in a different way, but the idea is to get the positive thoughts flowing.

Please send in your little thoughts. You never know whose life you might inspire.

♦ Sometimes, we have to cover our physical sight to see the silver linings in the dark clouds that hover.

♦ When the external heat of life gets too hot, you must keep working at your internal cooling system.

♦ Going with the ordinary flow may sound easy, but sometimes you are washed to the wrong direction. So while flowing, take a paddle with you to steer your course.

♦ Each day, you must remind yourself of what you actually want out of life and keep that vision before your eyes as you take another tiny step in that direction.

♦ Have you been stretching your vision lately? Why not? Don’t settle for laxity.

This week’s thoughts have been sent in by:

Kings oracle This short and sweet post from Oba couldn’t have said it better 🙂

Dollops of heedful rambling This is such a beautiful quote *my first time of reading it* and its truth leaves you mindful.

A purpose-driven achiever Lady Cee joins us with her sage words brings it home to me.

I really enjoy these conscious musings, because sometimes life is just so frenetic that it simply races along with us. These thoughts keep me grounded and help me more than words can say.

My regards,

Jacqueline

P.S I still haven’t been getting some pingbacks, so please if you post a thinking corner post, you might have to visit my page and leave a comment. Thank you.

Midnight Motivations and Musings # 71

1461555854136

When we take a moment to think of the fact that the days of our lives are truly short, we should also take the moment to reflect on how we can live a more purposeful life.

If you are blessed to get to 90 years, that’s just 32,850 days. Viewed from the point of days, it’s not that long so each day spent counts.

Each day’s decision to live happy, to live well, to live and make positive impacts no matter how small, to live unselfishly matters….

It is these decisions that should shape our lives and not the decisions that we failed to make.

Live, Love, Be Happy!

Embittered…

Xavier stood in the shadowy background of the trees and waited for her.

He stared longingly at the house with the windmill. Embittered thoughts raced through his mind. He was surprised that he still seethed in silent rage.

No one would cheat him of his birthright and get away with it, not if he had anything to do about it.

Now it’s time to make good on his promise.

That cattle and land grabbing thief Alistair swindled his father when Pa was inebriated and took over their homestead. Pa killed himself. He died a broken drunk man and his Ma sent them all into servitude.

It took decades to get to this point. Years of working his fingers to the nub from an all errand’s boy on the ship to owning his own boat.

It took strategic planning to get into favour with Alistair’s only daughter Gwen.

He hadn’t planned on liking her but he won’t allow such feelings get in the way of his plans.

Tonight, he’ll coerce her to join him on the boat set sail with her. By the time they get back on dry land, she would be his wife.

Whispering tendrils…

Fingers
caress her tender scalp
luxurious tendrils of auburn hair
are put in a twisted knot
‘I love you forever’
I whisper into her ears
shivery bumps run down her spine
as she sighs in dreamy reply.

Should I cry a tear a sweet poem written with love to the one *possibly* in his heart 😉

How do you do? I can relate to this post when that freezing despair grips your mind and this was my comment in quotes below. Chip in an advice.

Calm down! Take a day at a time. After work, relax a bit, then practice some deliberate thinking plan for just half an hour. What is the primary thing that you want to achieve. Just an activity or two per week that will lead you to where you want to be and in time, you will be in full throttle.

Shandra eats Shandra makes meals  with recipes that are simple, easy to find and don’t break your pocket. Eating healthy is not too hard 🙂

Books and Lavender like the name implies, Silvia’s blog is one of the bilingual blogs’ that I have followed for quite a while, one for the eye-candy of delectable dishes and two for the books that she talks about.

Sandra Jackson the lovely author of Promised soul runs a blog that I am getting to know as the days go by and I like what I see. Take a peek.
