What About You? Affirmation Challenge Day 11

My goals may look far-fetched, but every tiny step I take each day will surely get me there.

Creating a long checklist of unattainable to-do’s is the quickest way to making sure that the do’s don’t get done. Better to have two do’s and to get them done. Jacqueline

Hold It!

I seek my contentment and peace without apologies because it can’t be purchased and it’s so easy to lose in today’s world.

Contentment, Meditation, Healing, Life, Joy, Pain, Letting Go, Release, Human, Emotions, Feelings, Poetry, Healthy Living

when you’ve been pierced
by the blunt edge of pain
you will know that
the sharp sweetness of joy
is far better to hold
close to your chest.

My Thinking Corner

Wonder Full! – My Thinking Corner.

Wisdom, Peace, Love, Courage, Life, Healing, Luck, Quotes, You Are Wonderful

There’s absolutely no mistake,
Not in the way you were made.
You are the masterpiece of the Master sculptor.
For you are as beautiful as you allow yourself to be.
From within to without,
From the tip of your hair,
To your buck teeth,
To the flat soles of your feet,
You are you.
The you that you are is wonderful,
You are no less than anyone else.
Never spend unnecessary time comparing yourself to another,
For you are made unique.
You must remember to tell yourself this every day.
You have courage.
You have strength.
You have confidence.
You have self-respect and love.
In the stillness of the morning,
In the noise of the day,
In the darkness of the night,
Never fail to tell yourself,
That the sculptor made no mistakes with you,
From within to without,
Until you accept it,
And it is settled,
In your Spirit, Body, and Soul.

Positive affirmations breed positive things.

Gratitude

It Started With a Hello…personal

Angels walk in our midst each day as strangers and this past week has been one of my best so far health wise due to a brief encounter and discussion with a total stranger.Image result for thank you image angels

My fibromyalgia has given me a lot of pains these past few months and just last week Wednesday, I had an encounter with a lady on a staircase where I was holding onto the railings and trundling down gingerly and by just saying hello to her as she walked past me in her ripped jeans and paint-splattered T-shirt we got into a brief conversation.

She recommended that I should try some Magnesium tablets that she believes would help. I was skeptical because I have a cupboard filled with x,y and z vitamins all promising what they don’t fulfill. I had done a full bloodwork recently and the doctor gave me another shovel of vitamins, so you can see why I was skeptical.

However, a little voice reminded two days later when I had a poor night due to pains to just try what the lady had told me. To cut a long story short, it works! I found it and right from the next day, I felt a lot better. For four straight nights in a row, I have slept soundly without waking to stretch or massage my aching body, so you can understand my pleasure.

To this stranger that I may never meet again, thank you with all my heart. I am grateful.

It all started with a hello. I always say that all good things around us are sent from Heaven above and I thank the Lord for the beautiful stranger who is an Angel sent to me on that staircase.

I am learning never to take anyone for granted because I never know when I might have a divine encounter because life has shown me that the angels who walk amongst us are just like you and me.

Midnight Motivations and Musings 106…

Healing starts with the first step of acknowledgement of your issues and positive reaffirmations. It becomes your beginning. A starting point to the journey of self-forgiveness and reconciliation. The affirmations open up your subconscious by telling it ‘that you are in charge.’ You are taking ownership of the changes that you need to make to get where you need to be.

Midnight Motivations and Musings #9….

1455524494478[1]

In so many ways, a lot of us have been hurt and the hurt that we carry inside now serves as a parameter to determine a whole lot that goes on in our lives.

Our hurts become a cloak that we use to cover ourselves, dampening the true person hidden beneath the bushel of pain.

Even though bad experiences cannot be easily chucked out of the window, these past hurts should not be the ruling yardstick over our lives.

Not only do they cut short our expectations, but we remain victims to the pain.

To heal, we have to and we must find a way to channel our painful tests into positive testimonies.

Under His Shadow, We Pray Today…

1448164839831[1]

Dear Lord,

May our aching hearts find healing in your presence.

May we rise against the hurt and the destruction,

Which pervades our society today,

So that we can reach for the silver linings hiding in dark clouds.

Grant our minds a sublime state of being,

Where negative spirits of hatred, of distrust,

of aggression and its virulent forces cannot find root.

Let your peace that brings tranquility reign in our lives,

As you cast your shadow of protection over us.

May those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High God

Abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Amen.

Out of The Deep…a short story

Statue

He wanted to nestle in the snug, cocoon of floating senselessness, the insistent voice wouldn’t let him be.

It kept pulling at him; nudging him back from sinking into the deep abyss which beckoned with it’s twinkle of light that beamed at the end.

The nagging voice grew stronger and stronger and his unconscious state was reluctantly dragged to the fore.

His struggle to rise was weighed down by heaviness. Beeps of machines, his mothers anxious voice and the drone of uniformed voices brought it all rushing back.

He remembered. That single minute of distraction checking his tweets; the tumultuous collision, rushing pain and weightlessness.

He remembered floating through the sea of pain, the sweet calming voice of the fair lady who came to his rescue and cradled his head.

He wondered why one of the Saints his mother honoured daily had cradled his head?

He stopped believing those things for a long time, but humored his mother when she dragged him along.

Now he didn’t know what to believe. All he knew was that somehow, she had saved him.

A lovely lady…a shopping encounter

Strength & Courage Quotes 12

Whats on my mind you ask?

This evening, I went grocery shopping with the children and as we traipsed lazily down the aisle, a young, tall, slim, beautiful lady passed me by with a young child.

The first thing that I saw was her hair that was shaved to the scalp and she wore the skin-cut with pride.

I tried not to stare, but I knew. My spirit grew disquietened.

In my heart, I knew that this lovely soul is battling for her life.

We walked past her and continued our shopping but my mind couldn’t focus.

After a while, I backtracked several aisles down to find her. I felt a bit nervous that she might not appreciate my disturbing her peace, but a little voice in my heart said Go! So I continued.

I approached tentatively and out-rightly told her that I noticed her shaved scalp and she confirmed that she has breast cancer.

My heart went out to this total stranger. I have witnessed first hand the heart-rending havoc that cancer wreaks on sufferers.

We talked for a while, it turned out she has a chemo/radiation session tomorrow and of course she is trying to live life as normal as possible especially for her young child.

By the end of our discussion, ironically, she ended up comforting me. We shared a blessing and a hug.

I admire her strength and really wish her well. I wish her miracles. Cancer

I wish more Grace and strength to those who are suffering at this time.

May faith, peace and healing hands be your portion.

Kind regards.
