Woman wanting to strengthen relationships with other women

An interesting good read that will get your thoughts rolling.

Do you find it easy to connect and build great relationships with other women or do you prefer male friends?

Reaching out

Watch This! My thoughts below:

The first gives you some faith in human kindness whilst the second cuts your breath off. I have a brother-in-law who drowned four years ago in Toronto and watching this made me think of him. Could someone have helped him – he went with some colleagues to the Lake – but they chose not to?
The second shows what’s all that’s wrong with human kind. It hurts the soul to see these things.

My PPA

The life of a fresh Nigerian graduate. Funny article – but not a funny reality. My comments below:

You take me back to the days of fresh out of school where they feel you should be happy to be employed – free-of-charge 🙂

Tales From The Bench

Fantastic image to go with a delightful tale. How we take these mundane things in our lives for granted, yet they know so much about us. If the articles that we use on a daily basis could talk, I can only imagine what they would have to say

The Ties That Bind

Absolutely heartwarming vignette. Here’s what I had to say:

Can I say beautiful like others have echoed? Oh Roo, you make me think of my siblings and have a lump in my throat. A wonderful family is everything.

Tea Party Time – Let’s Groove

It’s blog party fun time again. The year is fast winding down and before you know it, we will be basting Turkeys and singing Auld Lang Syne.

How’s your end holding up? Life has been a bit hectic and upsetting in many ways, but we’ve got to keep pushing and looking at the positive side of things.

If this is your first-time visit, the house rules of play are outlined below, if you are an old-timer, you know the drill.

Grab some refreshments which are nicely arranged down the page. Feel free to indulge, these are zero calories😉

Just some little party rules:

  1. Mix and mingle with others. Don’t be a wallflower. Go say hello to someone.
  2.  Please leave your blog link or post link in the comment box below along with introductions.
  3. It’s one link per comment, but come back as often as you’d like, that way it’s easier to focus on a link at a time for others.
  4. Please reblog, spread the word of the party like butter, or like, share on Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, Facebook, etc.
  5. Have fun, it’s a great way to find bloggers and have them find you.
  6. Please show some love. Reblog this post. It helps all of us! The more people that see and participate in it, the more potential new follows! So, share and share voraciously!

Thank you for coming to the party and do have a great weekend.

I am the proud author of my latest book ‘Unbridled.’ Do check it out on Amazon. I appreciate your support.

‘Unbridled is a collection of uncensored, bold poems. The author speaks without niceties. The soul of each poetry tugs at the depth of your being and the writing style makes it easy to identify with the emotions of the character in each poem. If you are looking for the unspoken truth that society would rather brush under the carpet, I recommend you read Unbridled.’ – Ekaete Augustine-Edet

Posts That Caught My Interest #5

I love positive things. I love progress and exciting news. I love to see people chase after their aspirations and dreams and watch them grow. It inspires me more than I can tell you. Some days when my inspiration tank is low, good news from others pep me up and keep me going. Michele, I know you’ll do exceedingly well on this new path.

Image result for images of sharing

Inspired Beacon’s posts on better living, food for thought, inspiration, success tips, personal development and business sense keeps me pushing for higher grounds. Never Stop Fighting.

The ‘Fine Lines’ of this poem is not only riveting but empowering in its raw state.

I am mastering ‘How To Sail My Ship,’ how are you doing yours?

You have a right to your opinion, but you’ve got to learn to accept ‘My Opinion.’ In the bid to state your opinion as tell it as it is, also learn that it’s not a license to whiplash others with your venom.

I honestly can’t explain how it must feel to be purchased. A short post ‘I was a purchase,’ that left me pondering.

Who do you think you are in your dreams and imagination? Be honest and take a peek at your inner thoughts. I like this quote that I borrowed from Deborah.

Lessons for living the book that shaped my personality

A beautiful, positive post to start your day. Once I started reading I had to finish it.

Although I’m from a Hindu family, I did my primary schooling from a Christian school named St. Luke’s, in Himachal, and I’m glad that happened.

Second Chance Mushroom

What a twist in the tale. I am glad it was just a daydream into the future. I hope she gets to move to her dream neighbourhood. Great story.

To My Recent Follows…

Welcome, Bloggers, Networking, WordPress, Blog, Community, Appreciation

I would like to appreciate all my recent follows of the past few weeks. Forgive my tardiness for failing to do this earlier and for not stopping by to visit and say hello.

I am not that ill-mannered and can only offer the excuse of the deluge of emails, blog posts and duties that besiege me each day. That’s one hazard of blogging and running two blogs, but I am loving it nonetheless.

Now, a proper thank you to you and you and you. In this space, my vision is to keep things positive and warm, to engage and inspire others whenever possible and to build an interactive positive-minded community that hopefully transcends the online blogging community into our various lives.

This community is such a supportive one and in my own little way, I seek ways to create more cohesion in our midst and appreciate those around me. Asides from my regular posts, I have a series ‘featured posts’ where I share weekly posts of others and ‘author zone’ where I spotlight the published work of others.

I also offer guest posts, bloggers interview and partnership opportunities, as well as a recurrent monthly blog party for the purpose of networking and growing. I’ll also mention that I offer a few services that might interest you and you can always shoot me an email through the contact page.

Once again, you are welcome to my house in bloglandia. I look forward to furthering interactions with you and extending an early invitation to the month’s end blog party coming up on Sat/Sun 29/30th of July.

My regards,

Jacqueline

A lovely read. The sea carried it back and forth and decided it had had enough of the bottled passenger. I enjoyed this 🙂

Good people doing good things

What an amazing couple! This is awesome and inspiring. Selfless people like the Geraldi’s don’t come too often in this society of ours. This is the sort of news I like to read. It gives one hope.

7 AREAS WHERE BLOGGERS DREAMS DIE

Bloggers, Blogging, Promoting, Success,

Results Take Too Long

Naturally, when we start any venture we want to see results and many bloggers jump into the process of blogging anticipating quick results. When the stark reality of the grind sets in and when their expected results take longer to meet, most become discouraged, quit blogging and go searching for the next trendy thing.

Without mincing words, blogging success takes time. A lot of time! Just keep plugging away.

You are not promoting yourself

A lot of bloggers/writers are not comfortable promoting their work sometimes due to lack of confidence in their work or the assumption that promoting their work is being arrogant and full of pride.

I’ve once had a newbie ask me ‘how would anyone read their blog with all the fascinating millions of blogs floating out there,’ my first thought was, ‘with this thought pattern, maybe you shouldn’t bother,’ but I ruminated over it and advised her to continue with her writing, make more effort to connect with others and let the readers decide if her work is good enough.

The reality is that if you don’t promote yourself, no one else will. There are ways to put yourself out there and to promote your work without coming across as obtuse.

Can’t Deal with Criticism

A lot of people may not like your style or agree with you and now and again, you come across some downright sour people on social media. They will leave their rude comments, opinions and sometimes even personal attacks.

You can moderate your comments to distance yourself from trolls, but you still need to acquire the diplomatic skill of handling constructive criticism. Learn not to take such confrontations personal, most times this is bullying tactics not worth spending time on. Read more…
