Ah! Finally, the last day of photo 101. I believe I will miss this course, and I am glad that I survived it.
For several reasons, this month has been a hectic one for me and each day was really a case of mind over matter in order to get things done. A lot is left trailing behind and have to be attended to in this month of April.
I totally doff my cap to professional photographers that bring you the fabulous photos that you get to enjoy.
For today’s prompt ‘triumph and contrast’ my mind went to so many things. Music, little beginnings, and closures. For me, triumph comes from satisfaction over little things around me, such as getting my exercise done makes me dance and feel on top of things 🙂
I love Sunsets. They spell beautiful, serenity, closure, triumph and so much more.
My dear husband’s hand raised in triumph. He just won the hand of his beloved jewel 😉
Catching the tale end of 2014 fireworks. I felt a particular bliss of new beginnings.
A 60 year anniversary celebration
Capturing this sunset caught between the building
Persuading my children to ride a Camel.
They were frightened.
Now they ride with laughter
Another beautiful sunset
These ladies agreed to share their moments of triumph with me after their race.
Today’s photo 101 prompt has been my least favourite so far. Not quite sure why, except that I really don’t like tweaking pictures around and altering them so much, so I had to really search hard for pictures.
I always prefer things looking as natural as possible, except where unavoidable, and I am glad that I didn’t have to manipulate these ones asides from giving them an edge 🙂
I honestly can’t claim that I have a fair idea of what I’m doing. In fact, I would be lying if I claimed to know. I am just having fun with today’s assignment since I am out all day with my troop.
According to today’s photo 101 prompt ‘Glass, Squared,’ we are to incorporate glass in today’s image: a window, a mirror, a wine glass, sunglasses or something else. It doesn’t matter what form the glass takes.
So here I go tinkering and peeking in or out.
Looking out and taking the picture trying to incorporate the window.
Out and about. The day looks friendly through my windshied.
My fave flower shop
Looking up at the see-thru glass ceiling.
I like the Giraffe on the glass
Couldn’t resist watching the TV from outside 😉
Watching the workmen
Another view through the window.
Lovely decorative pieces
A view taken while looking up at the mirror in the lift.
Watching people is totally a favourite sport, so it’s no hardship taking photos of their movement.
I can actually sit and count how many men who strolled past in a suit, or tie, or whatever catches my fancy at that point in time. It’s total fun I tell you and if your eyes are keen enough sometimes, you are rewarded with something to smile about.
I was out all day and there’s no time to simulate night movement, so between the gym, school, grabbing a bite at the mall, I think I managed to get some blurry movement shots for today’s Photo 101 theme ‘moment and motion.’
