I Thought That I Knew…

1450170872726[1]

I heaved and panted.

With all my might,

I pushed.

Till I thought that,

Every vein within,

Would burst with pressure.

And I hated every moment,

Of such horrendous pain.

Wondering what was the gain?

Until I beheld the squalling bundles,

And their curious little eyes.

I felt their fist snatch tight,

And held my heart very fast.

The pain flew out of the window,

The light of the gain shone bright.

As I tumbled completely in love,

Without hindrance, I fell.

Realizing that I had no idea whatsoever

I thought I knew it before.

Through His Iris…

1450170180681[1]

Dearly beloved,

We are gathered here…

And the rest of the word floated…

…Over my head

The thrum of blood in my veins slowed down to a sludge,

My heartbeats changing it’s tandem,

So as to echo yours,

A splash of fruity yet full bodied wine into the glinting flutes,

The clinking of cheers at the tips,

We imbibed our first sips,

Now bound together at the hips.

My eyes beheld and clung to yours,

In deep search for the echo of my thoughts.

In there a mirror of myself, I found,

Caught up in the warmth of your iris.

Days have come and gone,

The years have rolled on by,

Yet every time I gaze into those eyes,

They have stayed the same.

With the mirror of me,

Held in the warmth of your iris.

Heaven Bound!…

Lies 2

Heaven lies in your hands.

Said the Teacher,

To the Bomber.

Don’t you want to get to heaven he asked?

Easy-peasy! He advised

Bomber listened with rapturous intent.

All you need to do today,

Is to kill everybody

Said Teacher

To Bomber

Heaven lay in his hands.

Time ticked away,

Voila! Heaven at last.

You Need No Brains, My Beauty…

You mustn’t worry your pretty head, my dearfemale-silhouettes-black-outline

Nor bother wearing out your little brain

With any intelligent reasoning

For you are a woman, my darling.

Women need no analytical thinking,

All you really need are your boobs and your rear ending.

For women don’t need to be intelligent,

All they need do is to look pretty.

A good cake of powder,

A tube of siren red lipstick,

A dash of pale blush,

A stroke of extra lashes,

A nice tush hugging little dress

And a pair of killer heels.

That should do the trick,

For your intelligence,

Is highly over-rated my dear.

MEN-O-PAUSE!…

winking face

It’s only men that have menopause

Which is why they always pause

They never seem to know for sure

Which always makes them immature.

Two Birds And A President…

1450074532242[1]

I have a bird in hand
It’s worth more than two birds in the bush
You have a bird in hand
It’s worth more than several birds in the bush
We have a bird in hand
It’s got to worth more than that President in the bush.

The Lazy Crow…

Cocky

The Sun only rises

When Cocky the rooster crows.

So, we must blame it on that Lazy Rooster

Who was feeling like such a hipster

And failed in his morning’s duty roster,

He neither cockled earlier nor harder,

And the Sun overslept, failing to rise faster,

Which made us lazy and we woke up a little later.

May I Share With You?…

1449802437224[1]

LIVING FREE…

May I live
Unafraid to breathe
Free from a choke-hold
That becomes a stronghold
May I live
Unafraid to live
Clinging to my expectations
With feral desperation

SHARING FREELY…

May I share space
Unafraid of being encased
Free from condemnation of race
That becomes a strong base
Purple, White, Olive, Black and every hue within
May I share space
Knowing that we are first a human race
…And all blood are red in this place.

BELIEVE FREELY…

May I speak of belief
Unafraid and in relief
Free from contentious eyes of disbelief
That becomes thresholds of grief
May I wear my mask of belief
Understanding that to achieve
Peace would be a welcome reprieve
…Which we must seek to retrieve.

LOVING FREELY…

May I love you
Unafraid to be bound to you
Free from censors of broken whispers
That becomes harbingers of cold shivers
May I love freely my love
Unafraid to expose my naked bust
Knowing that in you lies my trust
Encased in the warm embrace of your love.

All In A Milli-Second…

Couple in shadow

It started in just a second,
‘Cos that’s what he reckons.
He met her at a function,
Yes it was a luncheon.
In milliseconds their eyes clung,
He felt the air leave his lungs.
He knew that she was the one,
The sizzle she felt was no pun.
It’s been Forty years strong,
And they are still going on.
