Anytime I see Eugenia’s tagline phrase ‘whimsical & capricious chatter’ I find myself wearing a smile. BrewNSpew is a blog that I’ve followed for almost as long as I started blogging. I’ve enjoyed dear Eugenia’s bright, witty thoughts and poetry, filled with chuckles and nuggets of wisdom. Whenever I visit, her style of writing reminds me that blogging is meant to be enjoyed, not endured.

Let me introduce you to my latest strategic partner, Anna. We connected and have been interacting in the blogosphere for over many months. Anna uses her blogging platform to share her experiences with Type 2  Diabetes  as well as sharing helpful, educative and informative articles on how to manage this independently. I don’t have Diabetes, but I read her posts and find them quite useful and often filled with humourous anecdotes.

I’m urging her to think of writing a little memoir or self-help book of an ordinary woman living with Diabetes 🙂

A couple of days ago, I sent out a post indicating my interest in having strategic blog partners and between you and I, I thought that I would probably have to publish and republish the post a million times before it would receive any sort of response, if at all.

To my delight, my supposition has been proven wrong.

In this journey, you simply can’t go it alone. A lot of times you need to team up with others to achieve certain goals and that is one of the essence and rules of public engagement.

Blogging and writing are public engagement. Yes indeed, we write for ourselves, but when we lack readers, after a while, our zeal wanes.

This is a topic that I have given much reflection over the past few months and as a matter of fact, I put up a page on my header that reads ‘I am for hire.’

Inspired Beacon is my first partner and if you look to my sidebar you’ll see the logo nicely emblazoned there. I also find that I have a lot to learn from Kaylaa Blackwell the blog author.

Asides from brilliant, inspiring posts that she publishes, she’s setting up an enviable e-commerce store. Inspired Beacon is a forward-focused blog and I admire such entrepreneurship and positivism.
