My Thinking Corner – Where You Belong
Most times where we are is not where we belong and to get to where we need to be, we must restrategize and keep pushing.
Sometimes life if like playing a game of chess. You must not rest on your laurels and take your opponent for granted. You can’t afford to tip your King before the battle is over because life continues till the last moment.
Your opponent in your life could be your complacent approach to life. It could be a bag of mixed factors that only you can identify and deal with in accordance with your aspirations.
You’ve got to keep holding on and nudging up to where you belong. You’ve got to take those adventures in life to truly find your sweet spot.

How much are you desirous of change and success? It lies in your transformation.
Timothy’s Plan…
Little Tim’s tears flowed unbidden as he trudged home from school. Other parents came but his own had failed to come and watch his performance as promised.
Momma has been drinking more often than usual, crying so much and grown forgetful. Dad seemed not to care anymore, he was hardly at home and when he came home it would always end in a shouting match with mom and broken crockery.
He hated it all. The shouting, fighting, silence… that he always hid in his room to avoid getting in their way. He felt afraid that his family would break up.
Tim didn’t want to become his classmate, poor Mary, whose parents got divorced and she caught a bad disease called Leukemia.
He knew what to do once he got home. He would talk to mom and if they continued fighting he would simply take all his money in his piggy bank and run away.

Shoot The Dogs
No, I didn’t shoot a dog! I meant capturing their photos 😉
Photographs for letter D was not an easy choice to make, so I went with both suggestions ‘dogs and decorations.’
I love both prompts because dogs are just beautiful, intelligent pets that bring comfort and delight to their owners.
The photo theme challenge is not only for practice but to help you build a library of your own images that could be used for your blog posts, for submission to photo sites, for sale et cetera.

Tips for taking pet photos
Taking photos of pets can sometimes be difficult because they tend not to stay still for several minutes, but with your camera settings in mind and a couple of tricks, you could capture wonderful snapshots worth thumping your chest over.
- Make them the center of attraction. You could make a strange sound to draw their attention to you and be ready to take the photo once you’ve got that attention.
- Photograph them doing their thing naturally. When you don’t have time to stage a scene, keep your camera handy and wait for your pet to express its quirky sides. You’ll find lots of moments to capture.
- Avoid pointing your flash directly at your subject. It gives them the creepy red-eye. If you must use a flash, use a flash diffuser that would make sure you have more natural lighting in your photos. READ More…
Taking Off On A Trip…
I am on a short trip to Lagos, Nigeria. 5 days or thereabouts.
Flight from DXB to LOS (Dubai to Lagos) is about 8 hours plus.
Just in case I’m unable to log into my blog, I set a couple of posts to publish (if WordPress behaves itself).
However, if I can log into my blog during my trip, I will surely do my thing. This blogging is an elixir of sorts you know.
