The challenge is simple : find beauty in everyday mundane things, capture the beauty and upload the photographs.
Walking to my car in the garage, I noticed a curious black smear of paint or coal tar, not sure which one it is, however, the interesting shape seemed like a head of a cheeky imp and I couldn’t resist taking a photo of it. My camera has become a daily companion.

Narrow can be good as long as it’s not narrow-minded. Most narrow-minded people also spout the nonsense that comes from the smallness of their minds.
Today we are asked to show bits of narrow that we can capture
Sometimes we have to pass through the dark, narrow tunnel to get to the light.
When we take the narrow and less traveled road, we discover new strengths and new things.
A lonely path can often lead to a beautiful destination.
By breaking down the narrow-minded ideals of selective thinking and racial profiling, society would form greater values and better vision.
Narrow your life down to living in the moment and deal with today’s problems and leave tomorrow for tomorrow.
He’s seems quite comfy in his narrow enclave.

Jacqueline Oby-Ikocha’s poems portray images that stare us right in the face. Images of love, joy, death, pain, challenges, violation, and freedom. She writes in a language that’s rich in imagery, earthy, honest, vulnerable, yet full of the promise of hope, of loving and of Grace. A collection of light and dark soulful prose.

On Thursday’s, I share pictures about ‘Echos of my Neighbourhood.
I would like to invite you to participate. The challenge is quite simple and you can find out more about it through this link.
Half carrot and half dark chocolate cake for the birthday boys.
More cake
Cheesecake Factory. To be visited at your waistline’s detriment 😉
Slices of decadence beckoning to people 😉
It’s cold in here.
Frolic in the cold
I changed my mind last minute. I don’t fancy any broken bones.
A good place to grab some warm tea after the brrr cold.
We found Dory 🙂 Hope she doesn’t go missing again.
My daughter trouncing me at Air Hockey.
Okay! Time for serious business. I need to tame the fat 😉 Karate/Dojo ready
It was a busy last week for my household with two birthdays in the house. A good reason to celebrate, indulge and get a bit spoilt. We went to the Ski Dubai, though I’m still trying to figure out why we paid to go and get cold in a – 4 degrees indoor resort – I guess the blistering heat in this place makes it novelty 😉
A visit to the Cinema to find Dory and The Cheesecake Factory for the birthday celebrations was the icing on the cake so to speak.
Gosh, all the buttery, delicious popcorns and generous slices of decadent cake indulgence this Summer has convinced me to join the children in Karate/Dojo classes.
I hope I don’t kill the Dojo master this time around 😉
Kat took us on a journey to the National D.Day Memorial at Bedford and with respect to the solemn photos of those who sacrificed their lives in pursuit of the freedom that today’s generation enjoys, we must never let certain history repeat.
So, when do we get to visit your neighbourhood? Do invite us over.
Jacqueline

Travel theme indoors: when we talk about travelling, some of us imagine it’s only when you depart for an expensive and exotic journey to destination Paris, Amsterdam etc. Your neighbourhood can be a good point of contact and knowledge if you care to indulge and benefit from your surroundings. Nice one Deborah 🙂

Goodbye my mango: are you able to paint delightful pictures in the mind with your words? Bellybytes did a beautiful job painting the brief Summer and Monsoon season in my head. I can visualise that lady rushing down the street with her umbrella turned upside down by the blowing winds.

A paradox in the enchanted forest: What an interesting perspective. Just in case you are close by, could you please tell them to get on with the kiss already 😉
Father you are wonderful: I think we should all wake up with this kind of thoughts on our minds and prayer on our lips. Sublime
