He was not fearless.
As a matter of fact
he was always filled with trepidation.
Yet he always found the courage
that galvanized his actions.
He walked into the burning house
and grabbed the little child.
He knew his soul would haunt him forever
if they burnt to death.
Never again he said to himself.
The memory of his mother
and his little brother
forever seared in his mind.

Angela looks out of the window in delight at the fair weather, the Sun’s rays wink from beneath the clouds.
Ah! Finally, a beautiful day to frolic, riding bicycles and having a picnic in the park.
It’s a good day today, she hums to herself, rousing the boys from their computer games to assemble the items for an outdoor foray.
The rumble of Thunder, gives pause to her delight and true to type, the fickle weather has changed it’s mind.
We shall just have to have this picnic in the living room she mutters in deflation.

So, I will just cut to the chase of the matter and attach my photos for today’s photo 101 theme ‘scale and observation.’
I am so totally knackered and my brain is running at half tank from insufficient snooze.

I know it’s not weekend yet, but I am thankful that we are halfway there, or as in my case, almost a day to weekend and the school Spring breaks commences on Friday. YAYYYYY!!!
Our weekend’s over here in the Middle East starts on Thursday evenings and sometimes, it makes my mind go wonky, when the work week starts on Sunday’s and other parts of the World are still on a weekend.
It’s been one of those weeks that’s just bleh; waking up at past 4 am and making the children’s breakfast and food for school with one eye open.
I know that being a mother, weekend does not necessarily spell idling, but some things are taken out of the hectic equation.
My mouth will probably get twisted seven ways from talking, settling squabbles and I will probably pull my hair out now and again, for these days that squad will be fully at home, adrenaline filled and looking up to Mama the squad entertainer extraordinaire to keep them focused and entertained.
I shall however, thoroughly enjoy not having the infernal red alarm clock go off, just when I am getting into the zen part of the sleep; at least for the next two weeks. It even rings in my head when I am awake
On the other hand, I am equally thankful for a lovely blogger’s bash held in this space. The supportive turn out was just awesome 🙂
I am equally excited that the cover of my collected poetry will soon be ready. There’ll definitely be a sneak peek.
What are the itty-bitty things that your heart knows thanks for?
Do share if you will. Thank you.

Mama, are you saying that
I really have to take a shower
Before I get to play?
The pair of words: ‘Shower and Play’ Ronovan gave us for this week brought a smile to my face.
It reminds me of certain conversation that goes on in my household between me and my youngest.
With sweet wide eyes looking at me full of expectations that he will get a pass.

For two days running, I have seen this abandoned scooter and I am wondering which child left it behind. There’s a park close by.
Tongue in cheek, I dare say it belongs to a boy, from mere deductions of the Ben 10 image on it and the colour as well.
I bet he will tell his mother that he doesn’t know who took it 😉
I would have loved to be there and to see his wide-eyed innocence when he says ‘I don’t know who took it.’
So many scenarios have played in my head and I am writing a children’s story about it 🙂
Walking energizes me both physically, spiritually, mentally and so much more.
I watched the little lady struggle with her ball.
I bet the ball weighed more than she did, but she wouldn’t let anyone else get it 🙂

Sometimes, I am not quite sure whether the assignments the teacher gives in school is meant for the child or for me and to test my patience.
Now, let me go and put on my draughtsman, architect, site worker hat on! We (I and my young son) have to continue his new class project of building the Dubai’s Burj Al Arab with hardboard, tin foil, colours, glues and all sorts of fun stuff. He is the main director of this act.

It took the builders 6 years to do the original building and now we are expected to get our replica done in a few days.
As you can see from the picture by the side, it is work in progress and we are making a mangled mess of it (but having fun though).
Let’s hope it turns out fair at the end of this patience inducing exercise and then I can continue building my blog.
Enjoy the multi-tasking hats that motherhood confers on you.
How many hats do you wear so far?
