May I Share With You?…

1449802437224[1]

LIVING FREE…

May I live
Unafraid to breathe
Free from a choke-hold
That becomes a stronghold
May I live
Unafraid to live
Clinging to my expectations
With feral desperation

SHARING FREELY…

May I share space
Unafraid of being encased
Free from condemnation of race
That becomes a strong base
Purple, White, Olive, Black and every hue within
May I share space
Knowing that we are first a human race
…And all blood are red in this place.

BELIEVE FREELY…

May I speak of belief
Unafraid and in relief
Free from contentious eyes of disbelief
That becomes thresholds of grief
May I wear my mask of belief
Understanding that to achieve
Peace would be a welcome reprieve
…Which we must seek to retrieve.

LOVING FREELY…

May I love you
Unafraid to be bound to you
Free from censors of broken whispers
That becomes harbingers of cold shivers
May I love freely my love
Unafraid to expose my naked bust
Knowing that in you lies my trust
Encased in the warm embrace of your love.

Missing In Action…Have You Seen Him?

1449767540416[1]

What do you do when a blogger that you have become attached to just ups and suddenly disappears into thin air?

I met an awesome Christian blogger and we were consistently  supportive of each other and I loved his quiet reflections. Sometime ago, he hinted on changes going on in his life though he was not specific and I didn’t needle to pry, but I sensed his unhappiness.

For several weeks, going on two months actually, he has neither posted nor visited and bantered with me like he would and after waiting for a while and missing his blessings sufficiently, I decided to go looking for him.

It was  a shock to find his blog was now private and needed a password. I sent a request for access some  3 weeks ago and not a peep.

I am almost tempted to mention his name and ask if anyone has seen him floating around cyber-space and just to know that he is fine and didn’t do something stupid.

Then I simply whispered a prayer in my heart hoping that all is well with him. That whatever his problems were, I hope he has found sufficient grace to surmount them.

I have tried to find reasons not to worry, yet my mind wanders now and again to my friend and it is a bit surprising to realize how much I care.

How much a great number of people that I have met here mean to me.

How overtime our blogging friends start feeling familiar and like extended family.

How we develop attachments with total strangers across the globe.

I realized that maybe I am putting too much of my personal emotions in the friendships developed here, thinking that maybe, I should feel detached so that I wouldn’t notice if someone is missing in action; but that is simply not who I am.

Even bloggers who are blogging incognito, I have assigned voices and faces to their ambiguous status.

I can start writing a long list of bloggers that I will miss if I don’t see them for a bit and my list would be so long because I think I virtually follow everyone who follows me.

I simply think that if they find me worth spending their time on, then they are worth spending my time on as well.

So, I guess this is blogging life. Now here, tomorrow gone :/ Not happy.

Please, to all my blogger friends, do let us know when you want to run along and I want to let you know that I appreciate meeting you in this space and time wherever you are.

All In A Milli-Second…

Couple in shadow

It started in just a second,
‘Cos that’s what he reckons.
He met her at a function,
Yes it was a luncheon.
In milliseconds their eyes clung,
He felt the air leave his lungs.
He knew that she was the one,
The sizzle she felt was no pun.
It’s been Forty years strong,
And they are still going on.

Dilly-Dally…..

Time 2

They thought they had all the time
With vigour they dilly-dallied overtime
Bright eyes and dashing red lipsticks, they wined and dined
Brawny sinews and husky tones, they were in their prime

They enjoyed lots of downtime
Some simply left it all to sometime
And kept saying in the meantime
Lets have fun ‘cos it’s Summertime

Tick Tock, Tick Tock goes the passage of time.

Seconds to minutes, to hours and to days
The days rolled by and turned into years
Time flew by and they were in tears
There was no going back in arrears

Anticipation gave birth to perspiration
Relaxation gave way to vexation
It was now more than halftime
This game does not allow a second time

Tick Tock, Tick Tock, time was nearly gone.

They struggled to earn a dime
Indeed it was a stiff climb
Some turned to a quick hand of crime
While a whole lot started to whine

Some felt that life was simply slime
And sacrificed their peacetime
While some made juice with their lime
And simply had a good time

Tick Tock, Tick Tock, it’s a race against time

Now it’s past their springtime
No more room for sublime
Now its a game of full-time
There is no more prime-time

With the passage of years and all the time
Which they had lent for a long time to sometime
Who then gave it to procrastination every time
And he is renowned to be the biggest thief of time.

Baby Batter…

fertilization

Head long
He rushed along
Others were behind his tail
All competing at the same scale
Its survival of the fittest
As well as the fastest
Seconds is all it takes
To decide who bakes the cake.

It’s Never Too Little…

1449663207076[1]

My heart is glad for the pretty things that surround me in this environment. The flowers are blooming all over the place and the birds are flocking all around.

For the simple things of life, like a warm bowl of chilli and vegetable soup brewed in my kitchen, for the crispy cool Sahara air; even though we are all sneezing and coughing, I give thanks.

Above all things today, I am so grateful that we were able to find Prednisolone at 3am this morning, when my young boy woke up with sudden bad allergic reaction and a swollen face.

We used all the normal stuff for him, but to no avail.

He is allergic to certain environmental factors and it occurs more with weather changes like Summer with all the pollen or the dusty Winter air in this climes.

I did not want to use EpiPen which I keep for only extreme reactions.

Mercifully, the allergic reaction has been arrested and we have every cause to smile.

Pillow Talks…Pillow Fights…

PILLOW TALK…

1449634378130[1]

My eyelashes fall in love with each other,
Irresistible romance, the lids draw together,
Until in gentle kiss they link…
…And fall asleep within a blink.

In a soft cocoon of pleasant dreams,
Where pillow hugs like a gentle stream,
And bed of sweet affection, I felt,
My body regains its needed health.

…PILLOW FIGHT1449633223347[1]

A pat, A plump, A punch of pillow!
Where is my sleep; my eyes feel hollow!
The brain is drained, its down to zero;
Yet thoughts flit past just like a sparrow.

Alas! Sleep is won with quite a fight!
The bones so weary, they do so sigh;
The brain is fuzzy and the face a fright;
A battle of might, O what a night!

The Sweet Nothings… :)

chocolates

There lives a fair maiden
She has a sweet tooth
Carts full of sweet laden
She puts in her booth

Her eyes fill with twinkles
Her cheeks show their dimples
At thoughts of sweet sprinkles
She laughs with merry tinkles

A lick and a nibble, she sighs, Oh my,
This bite feels so right
It gives so much delight
Oh how I enjoy this, though it sits on my thighs.
