Moon Talk…

1448596808743[1]
It was a dark night in her life!
The twinkles of the sky beckoned from afar;
And the big glowing orb looked down at her.
In his sage, timeless understanding, he winked;
Old man moon she called, so softly.
How do I reach for the stars?
Old man moon laughed a jolly good laugh.

In timeless ways of an old sage, he said:
Little girl!
Dare to dream!
Asleep and Awake!
Close your eyes and stretch!
And reach for the skies!

She listened and she paused to listen again!
Then she closed her eyes;
She Dared to Dream;
Asleep and Awake!
She stretched!
When she opened her eyes;
She had caught some golden orbs of the brilliant Sun!

Was it Too Little, Too Late?…

There are times when people pass on and you wonder…

Was it that we didn’t pray enough?

Was it that we waited too long to pray?

Was it this and was it that?

Then it dawns on you once again!

That The Scourge of Death,

Though a most unwanted visitor,

Is the only certainty in the cycle of life.

And will call at His own time!

Like seasons come and go,

So does the life cycle of man!

Rest in peace, my lady.

Your absence will be felt.

Lounging Recasts!

1448196642231[1]

Around comes Monday, Quick, so Fast!

The Weekend is simply not so Vast!

Well! Its time to live now and forget the Last!

Till next Friday and another lounging Recast!

The picture above – Quick Forgotten History and Fact:

More than a thousand years ago, on a hill in Cordoba, Abass Ibn Firnas, the first Aviator, boldly set out to do what no man had done before. He was ready to test the first flying machine in recorded history.

It’s lovely to start the week and each day as a matter of fact with positive outlook. I find Leannenz Monday memes interesting.

The Blissful Moment of Love Touches ..

Love notes

Love Notes

Just for a moment we danced,
And too soon we had to part,

In that wonderful little moment,
Something sweet happened to my heart,

Your sweet breath caressed my ears,
Your jaw bristles scoured my cheeks,
and left indelible dents on my senses,

And I  tumbled….

Many nights I stayed awake,
reliving the dance again and again,

Many days the rumble of your voice echoed in my head,
Your uttered breath, a breeze to my ears,

Many times I thought of your butterfly kiss,
Brushing my golden toned skin,

A sigh…
Shall we dance again?

Love notes of an enamoured miss.

♥♥

You tossed and tumbled,
Turning my insides into your playground,

I felt your hiccups and your heartbeats,
which echoed like mine,
My little cuddly, smooth and soft bundle,

Sweet smells of innocence as you gaze up at me,
Your snuffles as you latch on,
To nipples that nourish you to life,

I watch in bated wonder, my heart expands beyond word’s,
As I tumble over and over knowing that you are mine,

The love notes of a mother

♥♥

Seasoned hands reach for each other,
In comfort and in love we cling,

Cackling at jokes understood only by us,
Nodding in silent understanding of unspoken words.

We watch many sun’s go down,
Ginger and Iced beer a sip, a smile and a hum,

Swinging on the porch,
Till you say to me,

Let’s go to bed my love,
Creaky bones and seasoned hands clasped,

In granny pj’s and cosy furry slippers,
We crawl into familiar bed,

And we tumbled, Just you and I.

The love notes of a seasoned wife

The Daily Post prompt The Power Of Touch

Textures are everywhere: The rough edges of a stone wall. The smooth innocence of a baby’s cheek. The sense of touch brings back memories for us. What texture is particularly evocative to you?

We can, Can’t we?….

Growing the World

You know,

Empty dreams,

Don’t make beautiful Worlds!

The consistent actions of you and I, do!

So tell me, what do you propagate around you?

Are you engaged sowing seeds of accord or discord?

Would you just take a moment and check your circle of influence!

Plant that seed that you want to reap! It will grow into a tree of bounty!

Cease wasting time on wishful thinking!

We can be the World that we wish to see!

Shalom!

Victorious Peace Even When The Tempest Rages…

Glorious sunset

The winds whispered and then they howled,

The thunder clapped and began to roar,

The lightning danced, throwing fire darts in mad glee,

The Earth rumbled in the quake,

It’s groaning and shivering,

A disheartened statement from deep tectonic plates.

We thought that all would be rendered asunder…..

…..But then came The voice and whispered into the ravaged Earth,

Dripping red with blood,

Peace! Be still!

……and the Earth stood still.

May the peace that transcends common understanding,

Be your portion today and always.

PEACE!!

Vive La Republique Du France!…

1447500820472[1]

I had my post for today all ironed out and set to go, until I woke up this morning and saw the news and I simply lost the desire for a light and chatty post.

A sick feeling settled in my stomach as I watched in utter stupefaction, the constant replay of attacks on innocent people gathered together for a concert, gathered to cheer their teams at the stadium; coldly murdered.

It wearies one to ask why? Why this hysterical, senseless killing? It just no longer makes sense.

Just several days ago we were reeling from this and now this.

I have a very special affinity for Paris and France as a whole. It means more to me than just a lovely holiday spot.

I am bilingual ( English /French ) a language that I spent 5 years to learn and I owe loyalty to this beautiful Nation for the opportunities it presented to my life.

For several years, I worked for the Embassy of France and the European Union.

I met my husband at “Maison de France” and I always feel like a part of me has come home when I visit Paris.

They welcome and throw their doors open to all and sundry who come to pay homage to this iconic city of European heritage and they are the least discriminating people that I happen to know from my sojourns in different parts of the World.

Shame on this infamy!

Shame on humans whose behaviour are nothing less than cowardly and dishonourable!

Even as the bloodbath and carnage of innocent ones soaks into the soil of its land, France’s pride and it’s beauty can never be cut down!

Hearts bowed in pain, we grieve.

Thrumming heat in our veins we scream.

Why do you kill me?

For I have done you nothing!

I have dined with you!

I have lain with you!

I cried with you and I laughed with you!

Yet you gather like locusts,

To feast on my flesh!

Have I done you any wrong?

That you kill us in throngs?

A mother weeps for a lost child!

A father bemoans his loved ones!

For the souls cut down in cold blood!

Who have done you no wrong!

Let our courage not fail us!

Nor our hearts cease to beat within us!

For they shall never know peace!

For the loss of the deceased.

The torment of their souls shall never cease!

Until they seek to find peace!

Peut les âmes des défunts reposent en paix/May the souls of the departed rest in peace!

Vive La France!

15 Years Later…

wedding photo

When we met for the first time, the universe did not shift on its axis!

It was not love at first sight for me, but probably for you.

My love at first sight was cradled in my young arms and we were cooing at each other; my dear friends first daughter and cute as a button too.

In you stepped that very first time and that image of me cuddling up a baby struck your eyes and stuck in your heart.

You chose there and then that I would be yours to have and to hold.

I gave you my cold shoulder, but you warmed me with your heat.

I had no plans for such distraction, my career laurels beckoned silently.

But, fate had its plans, and I am glad it did.

You systematically wooed and broke down all my walls,

Every fence erected, you climbed over and crawled into my heart.

You brought laughter to my lips,

A twinkle in my eyes,

And more joy into my life,

The butterflies came,

And you gave me such bliss.

Now and again, you make as mad as a hatter,

But your love cocoons me all over.

Its 15 years to the letter today,

The very day I said, I do, I do,

It always feels like a birthday,

With lots of unwrapping to do.

My dear darling husband, you decorate my life,

With my heart filled with love,

I do, I do, I do, again and again.

To infinity and beyond.

For today’s gratitude challenge, I am grateful to God for walking with me through this fifteen years of married life.

His abundance of grace, peace, love, mercy, joy has endured in our lives. Indeed, I am blessed.

Won’t you join Colline’s gratitude challenge? There is always something to be thankful for.

Kind regards,

The Answer Blows in the Wind…

Future

Here I often sit and ponder,
As the days go by,
The rising and setting sun,
So quickly passing by,
Where yonder shall tomorrow find me?
It’s only God in heaven that knows!
For that answer my friend is blowing in the wind!

Will I mingle with the free?
Will I be among the living?
For these answers I do not know my friend,
For it is blowing in the wind!

Will I scribble to the delight of others?
Putting smiles and streaking hearts with joy?
For this I shall strive some more,
But the answer my friend, is blowing in the wind!

Shall I rock grand-babies on my bent knees?
Singing hush lullabies to darling little ears.
This I know not my friend,
For the answer is blowing in the wind!

Shall tomorrow meet me,
Sipping warm cocoa in my rocking chair,
Telling tales of days gone by?
The answer my friend is blowing in the wind!

Yesterday is gone!
Tomorrow belongs to God!
My today is a present gift as I sit here!
Let me be happy, and have peace!
I shall leave tomorrow’s answer, to the blowing wind.

Naked and Not Ashamed!…

spirituality

Empty my thoughts,

that I may feel the wondrous touch of your love,

In deep recesses that no light has seen;

Expose my heart,

that I may understand your words,

through every conscious awakened pore of each moment;

Unveil my inner eyes,

that its lifted sheen may behold,

the brilliant raw beauty exposed in its true nakedness;

Unfold my wavelengths,

that my naked ears may become

attuned to the mysterious calls stirring from the deep;

Pour me out,

that my uncovered lips may enthrall

with language only made known through exquisite expressions;

Lay me bare,

that I may be denuded,

unmasked before your eyes,

naked, unafraid and not ashamed,

when you call me by name.
