Midnight Motivations and Musings 22…

1456855202228

There are those who are experts in finding every feasible excuse under this side of the planet why something cannot be achieved, meanwhile the solution to achieving the goal is just as plain as the day and right before their nose.

They build their pessimistic mountains out of molehills and nothing ever gets done around them, due to the long chain of all the bad things that could go wrong if they ventured to take a risk.

So, they never venture. They cower in a corner and try to discourage those who dare to venture.

Life in itself is a risk. From the day you were born it is a risk, until the day you die.

It’s either you live as fully as you can or you die having never lived.

  1. If it’s as “plain” as that picture, people who are colorblind will never see it. ^_^ My point being that yes, there are some people who are as you describe, but there are others who do have obstacles in their path that are truly obstacles that can’t be overcome no matter how “plain to see” they are to everyone else around them.

    1. Thanks for pointing out the picture and colour issues, I switched it. For sure there are obstacles that life places in some paths that are virtually insurmountable, like health issues etc, but in such instances pessimism only makes the burden worse.

  2. I can sort of relate to this. I didn’t make excuses as to why I couldn’t do something, but I would try and plan everything to the T and it would lead to paralysis of analysis. In the process I would overwhelm myself mentally with things that could go wrong that have not even happened yet. I created my own “mountain”. Then I met my husband. One of the most chilled and relaxed down to earth people you can meet and learned how to take it one day at a time. Opposites do attract when it comes to personalities I guess.

  3. I always wondered why the Bible equated fear with laziness until, I saw it played out in real life… There is no kind of person harder to deal with than someone afraid to get out of bed and do something, anything to change their sad circumstances.
