Today’s featured blogs are:

Pranabaxom I enjoy reading Pranabaxom’s written words. An excerpt of the about page reads ‘I open my mind to the world.  Like the weather, sometimes my poems are cloudy, sometimes stormy.  I always like to see sunshine streaming through the leaves of trees, so I hope I can share some of this sunshine with my readers.’ Go check it out.

I am: I could like this poem so many times over. It speaks to you and gives you joy. Do check it out.

Lightheaded:  let me introduce you to Nancy Thorton whose journey of creating a new life after retiring has become an exciting one at 8,200 feet. In her words: ‘I’ve made a life for myself with words. from the first poem I penned in second grade about puppies to selling some of the  world’s most comfortable shoes.  through all those years I had teachers, editors, account people, clients even clients’ wives telling me how to make my copy better. and on occasion they were right.’

Tell Me:  ‘Blindfolded, Sarn could see nothing except the perpetual green glow of his eyes since their light was also trapped inside that light-tight fabric strip.

Yesterday, my son had a surprise for me and they made me cover my eyes and walk while he held my hand. I liked the idea of the surprise but didn’t quite trust that I wouldn’t hit my head before getting there.

Now, I can imagine how Sarn must have felt and in his own case, his life was endangered. Melinda keeps weaving a thick, suspenseful plot.

Today’s featured blogs are:

A fairy tale with a twist A number of you might know how fond of Maria I am and her pictures never fail to gladden my heart. They are VISUAL pleasures. HOWEVER, this link is not about her photo. It’s a scintillating bit about Maria’s personal story. I have read it. I like it very much. I want to read more 😉 Told in simple words, yet very compelling.

The value of Mr. M Diya’s post really put a small on my face. We really don’t know what we have until it’s not there, or the value of others until they are gone. A refreshing read.

Is this mommy life Introducing Mandea a new blogging neighbour of mine. I read her article ‘SELL YOURSELF‘ which I find very interesting because it’s a quandary many of us find ourselves in. Do say hello.

Deb Was Here My girl Deb is talented, humorous; friendly, candid; community minded, and lots more. One to have as a blogging neighbour.

The Heartbreaker Amunala is a new, upcoming blogger in our midst. Do step in and show some love.

Master Mel’s attention to fine details is superb and this is the comment that I made:  ‘Your attention to detail is impeccable Mel. You’ve created so much imagery that it’s only natural to imagine and paint these things in one’s mind.’

Go and don’t tell or go tell Do you keep quiet when you should be telling? It’s worth finding out.

Preventing social media from ruining your relationship It’s a fact that social media is affecting relationships, but there are ways to handle it if you are wise. Explore!

Ties that bind in Oba’s borrowed words  below…Hmm! I won’t say much. Find out yourself 🙂

The feeling of hurt and anger overwhelmed her as she responded to her husband.

I know he loves me,so why do I feel rejected by his not wanting to hold my hands?

We’ve forgotten how to be human: From Jill I quote below:

But for a time it seemed that we were on the path to becoming a kinder, more gentle society; a society that was trying to overcome prejudices and see others as different, but not inferior.  But today that trend is reversing.  Today we are regressing back to a society that views all who do not look, act, speak, and think like us as being somehow inferior.  And that is just wrong.

What do I have to say about this read? Gosh! I think it’s a pamphlet every adult, parent, teacher, leader etc should read. Simple in it’s words, but teaches a thousand lessons.

Scuffle on the balcony : If you’ve been following this tale, you must be hooked by now. Mel always ends it on a cliff hanger that leaves you  looking for all the answers. My, my. Excellent writing.

I need these five items If you were stuck, what would you take with you?
