My Thinking Corner

Tuesdays Trickles…My Thinking Corner #15

Every Tuesday, I share snippets of thoughts that I call ‘My Thinking Corner.’

I would like to invite you to participate. The challenge is quite simple.

Each Tuesday, share your very short snippets of positive, inspiring, motivating, health, spiritual, writing advice, clips, posts etc, that can serve as a prop to motivate others and simply add my link to your post.

I call it my thinking corner because, I actually take out a bit of time just to think through things, encapsulate my thoughts as much as possible and detoxify my mind. It helps give me clarity of vision and might help you too.

It might work for you in a different way, but the idea is to get the positive thoughts flowing.

Please send in your little thoughts. You never know whose life you might inspire.

  • None of us is less than the first. Whoever decides for him or herself that they are unworthy to be so, has already  resigned to settle.
  • The day our lives begin to be ruled by the strictures of the fear of living is the day we begin to die even while alive.
  • Our achievements are akin to our love. They both require sacrifice from us.
  • Running water doesn’t stop when it meets a rock. It finds a way to drip through.
  • Without any vision, we wander aimlessly and would have no sense of direction. Always tune into your mind to seek for your vision and revisit as often as is required.

Our last week thinkers brought in dollops of good thoughts that I am totally loving 🙂

Words of wisdom If we all think the way Deb does, maybe there’s hope for humankind.

Kindred spirits ‘Let not differences divide us, let not hatred poison us, we are all one.’ Can you say it better than this?

Positive thoughts Here is what I have to say about this inspiring post ‘One thing that I love Annette is your candid expressions without coming across as arrogant. Who said that you can’t teach and old dog new tricks? Call out the person and I will prove him/her wrong. Beautiful post.’

Above from Rosema says it all in six short words.

Midnight Motivations and Musings # 32…

A simple example of how difficult it is to keep our mind focused, is my last week spilling into this week, which has been one roller-coaster of health, stress and all sorts of challenges that I don’t want to inundate you with.

I found negative thoughts and horrendous words creeping into my mind and trying to take an upper hand.

It’s that part of human nature that dislikes discomfort that tries to lash out and grumble or muck about with so much negativity.

Remember the Israelite’s and their journey in the wilderness? A classic example of how grumbling can delay our blessings, that’s if we get it at all again.

I have found that negativity takes root faster than positive thoughts, as such, we must have to consciously pull ourselves out of the funky way of thinking into the way we ought to think.

Even if it’s difficult, occupy yourself with routine and the repetitive mantras from your box of positive thinking.

Regards,

Midnight Motivations and Musings 22…

1456855202228

There are those who are experts in finding every feasible excuse under this side of the planet why something cannot be achieved, meanwhile the solution to achieving the goal is just as plain as the day and right before their nose.

They build their pessimistic mountains out of molehills and nothing ever gets done around them, due to the long chain of all the bad things that could go wrong if they ventured to take a risk.

So, they never venture. They cower in a corner and try to discourage those who dare to venture.

Life in itself is a risk. From the day you were born it is a risk, until the day you die.

It’s either you live as fully as you can or you die having never lived.

Midnight Motivations and Musings #20..

1455887357056[1]

There are times when all looks dim and bleak, but if we look hard enough, there is always a way, no matter how tight that way may appear.

At that point in time when we are passing through hellish moments, we don’t stop to wallow in it and in self-pity. We have to keep moving.

Even if our will power is flagging, look to someone’s own to latch on to. There is absolutely no shame in leaning on someone’s shoulder momentarily while you catch your breath if need be. People are sent into our lives at some points in time for reasons such as this.

The only shame is in giving up because you have the fear of being judged or you are too proud. The persons judgement is not your problem.

Your problem is in staying focused and getting out of the miry bog in which you are stuck in.

Know that even at the end of the darkest tunnel, there will always be found a sliver of light, and, yes the darkness will pass. For the only constant in life is change and no situation ever remains permanent.

Surviving your test allows you the opportunity to be a testimony to others and someone else’s leaning post at one point in time or the other.

Be patient as you strive and keep looking in the way of the light.

Powerful Positives….

You can't live a positive life with a negative mind. How many chameleons can you see?
You can’t live a positive life with a negative mind.
How many chameleons can you see?

For me, it is a conscious effort to make and reflect on positive affirmations each day, so that I don’t get drowned in the sea of negative vibes and occurrences which pervades today’s life.

Not that I don’t get affected by the rotten stuff that life tosses, but I try to deal with it and move on. Worrying, adds no value. You can’t keep carrying an umbrella hoping that rain will fall, when the sun is shining brightly 😉

If I choose to dwell on the constant personal negative challenges that have stared me in the face, not only will I be swamped with complete disbelief in the wonder of life, but my life would be a total mess.

I try to mindfully apply certain quotes to my life and I will share some with you.

  • Today, I am going to do my best. I may not be there yet, but I am closer than I was yesterday.
  • Life is a gift. Never take it for granted1

Did you know that many butterflies can taste with their feet to find out whether the leaf they perch on is good to lay eggs?

  • A positive brain is 31% more productive than a negative, neutral or stressed brain.
  • You cannot start a new chapter in your life if you keep re-reading the last chapter. Move on to the next please! Thank you.
  • I am in no competition with anyone else but myself.
  • Believe that you can and you will!
  • All things work together, for my good!

This is the first quote in a series of three that I will share of the next three days in the quote challenge. Thank you for the invitation leannenz. I really enjoyed your first in the series of quotes.  I would like to invite 3 awesome bloggers to share their favorite quotes in the series of 3.

The Magic In Me…

Magic

Thanks but no thanks! I have absolutely no desire to be transformed into a mystical being.

Just a few days ago, you made me have Saintly aspirations, and I am still floating under the halo of such euphoric dream.

However, I believe in MAGIC!

I believe in the magic of a Supreme God! The Alpha and Omega.

I believe in the miracle of conception and babies!

I believe in the miracle of breathing free air that I contributed nothing to create!

I believe in miracles! They are all around us! They exist in our everyday lives when we choose to see them!

I believe in the magic of an enduring love that stands the test of time!

I believe in the power of hope! It enlarges your heart and expands your coast!

I believe in the magic of happiness, positive thinking and positive affirmations! It beautifies your life!

I believe in the power of faith and good works! It strengthens you!

I believe in kindness and caring! It has boundless rewards!

I believe in positive human values and good manners!

I believe in family: both the ones we are born into and the one we choose for ourselves!

I believe in the magic of gratitude; it increases you!

I believe in the magical strength of human resilience! Its your path to success!

I believe that dreams do come true when you believe in yourself and irrespective of your age!

I believe that life is beautiful even in its chaotic mundaneness.

I believe in the power of prayer!

I believe in myself and the magic in me 😉

NOW! That is magic!
