Flitting like a fly….

Walking[1]

I always enjoy taking a brisk stroll
it always gives me a rejuvenating thrill.
An uplifting exercise that may go uphill
depending on the land it may go downhill.
It beats the huff and puffing on the treadmill
and popping all those odious pain kills.

It’s an opportunity to appreciate nature
the awesome work of the Great Creator.
To say hello to the neighbour
or take a peek at a new feature.
My stroll is never as the crow flies
with lots of curious detours, I flit like a fly.

It’s a beautiful Earth…

The Earth is made of so much beauty that most times, I feel like a greedy beggar who desires to see every part of it.

Midnight Motivations and Musings 58…

1460444136149[1]

There are times that I have been asked how I can prove that there’s a God and I have always responded with the same quote above.

God is God all by Himself. I cannot limit him by trying to define him in the human context, neither can I constrain his Supreme presence because I seek for him to appear before me so that the doubting Thomases can believe that he exists.

I would rather believe deeply in God and live my life serving him through my fellowship with others than to spend a thousand years drifting in disbelief.

Every day, I see God. I see him in the gurgling laughter of a little child. I see him in the brilliance of the shining Sun, I see him in the birds that roam free and feed on the fat worms of the earth, I see him in the flowers that bloom in glorious colours, I see him in the love of my children and husband, I see him in everything that surrounds me.

Do you see God?

Everyday Beautiful People #4…

“Every one of us is, in the cosmic perspective, precious. If a human disagrees with you, let him live. In a hundred billion galaxies, you will not find another.”  Carl Sagan

Hardened…Ronovan writes weekly haiku.

For this week’s Ronovan Writes Weekly Haiku Prompt Challenge. we have ‘friend and shiver.’

Below are my takes on it.

Regards.

Winter is not my friend,

It’s blustery, cold and freezing harsh nature’

Makes me shiver and cough.

*******

She doesn’t like his friends,

Such a dodgy, hard and wild bunch,

They give Alyssa the shivers.

********

Shivers sped down her spine,

When she looked into his flinty eyes,

They looked hard and unfriendly.

Rolling fields and Sandy banks…

Today’s Photo 101 theme is landscape and cropping where nature is our main subject, or a sweeping panorama of an entire city, town or industrial area.

A few shots were taken during this morning’s walk-about and many are from the previous week.

Picnic in the parlour…Friday Fiction In Five Sentences

Angela looks out of the window in delight at the fair weather, the Sun’s rays wink from beneath the clouds.

Ah! Finally, a beautiful day to frolic, riding bicycles and having a picnic in the park.

It’s a good day today, she hums to herself, rousing the boys from their computer games to assemble the items for an outdoor foray.

The rumble of Thunder, gives pause to her delight and true to type, the fickle weather has changed it’s mind.

We shall just have to have this picnic in the living room she mutters in deflation.
