Black Friday or Broke Friday Just as an aside, I’ve never understood the frenzied shopping practiced on Black Friday. I guess I never will. I like Deborah’s slogan, ‘don’t hate, donate.’

Common man, There’s something about this poem that had me thinking of Shakespeare and Charles Dickens. I truly enjoyed it.

Ten things to be happy about An interesting list. I’ve always believed that happiness is an inside job and finding things to be happy about is my business 🙂

Who’s for slavery, show of hands A thought provoking post and here’s my opinion below.

Humanity has been dogged by slavery in many forms over the ages, some have been totally brutal while some are covert like the modern day slavery where a picture is painted that the victims are working for their money. I truly doubt if slavery will ever end as long as man inhabits the earth. It would only reduce due to awareness, but the greed for money will never allow it to fizzle away.
With what my eyes have seen, heard and read, if not for stringent measures that make it difficult to acquire slaves in today’s time, there are still so many who would jump on the wagon of enslaving others in the Western World.

We artificially inseminate our lives with isolation, disconnection, and cocoon in disappointment. The knock at the door is the same; what will this cost if I choose to never try again? Maybe it is worth it to re-engage in the things I place a high value on. If I stay stunted it could cost me and I might forfeit the very reason I’m alive! Just maybe, in fact, it is worth it. We might need to risk again.

Staying on top of work I know that many of us wonder where the day ran off to especially when you look at your to-do list with tons of stuff still left to do. This post is a simple tip that would help.

How I see myself Encouraging, inspiring, eye-opening post to say the least.

Could I have just a little more time? I read this heartfelt post and could empathize as well as relate. There are those moments in time when we wish that we could switch time just a wee bit, but each day, life teaches me a lesson that the love we receive from our loved ones is given freely despite our warts and all.

Life Cameos I totally enjoy Life Cameo’s poetry’s and prose. She has a way of bringing everyday people and life into words that leave me satisfied as though I read a full novel in few stanzas.
