Big Things and My Haunches…

What an interesting theme we have today for photo 101 class; ‘Big and Point of view.’

The title brings out the naughtiness in me, but I shall leave it at that πŸ˜‰

There’s no problem finding big things around here. A whole lot of stuff comes in huge sizes especially the buildings, so I felt, easy-peasy, let me go and get some shots.

Where theΒ trick lay is in the POV that asked us to crouch or lie on the ground and get some interesting angles of big things πŸ˜‰

I was just a few yards short of my husband thinking that I have lost my marbles with my dodgy moves to get interesting shots and asking him to stop every few meters *he was almost at his tethers end when I felt that I had enough material, besides he had to go for important money matters πŸ˜‰

I also raised a couple of Arabian eyebrows with my squatting and crouching like a Tigress about to spring a surprise πŸ™‚

All in all, it’s been a fun assignment. I just hope we won’t have to use parachutes next.

My haunches received some good squats today πŸ˜‰

Bony…Mundane Monday

There’s beauty in the ordinary things that surround us.

I get to see all sorts of random stuff when walking.

According to my husband, he says that I take my walks with a peculiar gleam in my eyes as if I am a blood hound on the trail of something.

I am still trying to figure out if I should laugh at his comment or glower at him. I guess it will depend on my mood and PMS πŸ˜‰

I wonder how the person/s ate the fish on this trail? I think they were two people and they ate the head too!

Then and Now…

See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil has changed to:

Look at the evil with eyes wide open and if possible with magnifying lens tied to a binoculars.

Capture the data of the evil with your high definition zoom cameras.

Listen to all contorted/distorted variations of the tasty morsel of evil with big pitcher ears and headphones.

Then go ahead and shout it through every social media forum available, Telephone, Email, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc and try to break the internet by making it go viral to gain all the likes available and hopefully, the highest bidder for your captured evil will come knocking at the door with a fat cheque.

You can check Β Leannenz for past Monday memes.

The Uninvited Guest…

Aging is an annoying house guest

Who is forever engaged in a quest

He visits without prior behest

And stays put beside you in your arm rest

He has a way of getting your address

Even if you move places so he can’t keep abreast

An inevitable visitor who seeks to divest

All youthful zest even if you do protest

He arrives with a large travel chest

Filled with lots of odious screen tests

Doing his darned best to keep you under house arrest.

By the time he leaves, there’s nothing left but eternal rest.

Now I know where blue-balls came from….

I don’t know what your are thinking, but this is what I am talking about πŸ˜‰

The Vervet monkey, a native of Africa does have blue balls. You can click on this Wikipedia linkΒ for more details.

I have mixed feelings about caged animals. One part of me feels sorry for them and that they should be in the wild where they belong, then the hungry part of me that wants to know so much is glad to see them in the zoo where I get to know about them. A difficult feeling to reconcile.

Irresistible!…

Blueberry Cheese Cake
Blueberry Cheese Cake

I said I wouldn’t

I knew I shouldn’t

But I simply couldn’t

I wanted to get away

But she kept looking my way

So I took a nibble

And another nibble

And another

And another

And…….

Until she stopped

Looking

my

way.

Getting In Shape…

Every weekend we indulge happily, thanking God that it’s Friday, then Saturday and Sunday. We hop back on the cycle on Monday’s. It’s a vicious cycle. In reality we could all lose the extra weight we want to lose, Β but the truth is that most people hate losing things. It makes them mad πŸ™‚

Welcome to another week of running around like a hamster.

Easy-Peasy Patting Prompt…

Well WP my man,

You seem to be stealing my thoughts and this just about confirms it. The easiest prompt so far in so many days of Sundays.

I have already done some patting on backs a couple of hours ago to two blog-some blokes that have been a a gem of supportΒ in blog-land and they so deserve the pat.

There are several others that I enjoy their hospitality in this abode, *sorry ladies* but my mind is thinking only testosterone this evening.

There are two handsome furry Primates My dear ChimpΒ and Chris,Β A nice bun in a paper bag,Β a dashing poet,Β a a loving young chap,Β a smart writerΒ andΒ a wise gentleman.

Indeed there are so many of these guys and I bet that I will find more like them around.

‘They all deserve a pat on the back, for they are paw-some πŸ˜‰ ‘

We’ve Got Your Back…

1456129319423[1]

All the hullabaloo about Technology will only impress me, when I can download those delicious platters served up online πŸ˜‰

After turning the house upside down over the weekend, I found a ton of stuff. You will never know what you have, until you spring clean your house. Then you will find all sorts of things that you can’t even recall. Sometimes, in pairs πŸ˜‰

It’s always lovely to start the week and each day as much as we can with a smile and positive outlook. I find Leannenz Monday memes interesting.

Do have a fruitful and blessed week awesome people.

Splashes…

1455812083477

Life is not lived

On a black and white palette

For there are lots of shades

As well as tints of gray

Life is not a mad dash

Done in a big rush

For with such quick flash

You’ll combust into ash

Life is a sweet saunter with swag

Of swinging Calypso in beautiful sashes

And making bold, colourful splashes.

I was parked behind the big bus when this prompt came in an hour ago, so we chose the word ‘Splash.’
