Good Stuff…Every day beautiful people # 48

“I love books. I love that moment when you open one and sink into it, you can escape from the World, into a story that’s way more interesting than yours will ever be.” Elizabet Scott

“Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are.” Unknown

That book she’s reading must be some good stuff 🙂

There are books that are such compulsive reads that when you sink your teeth into them, you are lost in them and you keep going until it’s finished.

Below is my first just published Poetry Book “Out of the silent breath” which is available on Amazon and Smashwords.

Out of the silent breath

I hear you in my thoughts…

Your words of wisdom,

of love and encouragement…

They are etched upon my soul.

They keep me warm.

Water Commute…Every day beautiful people # 47

In a typical year, if your commute to work is 60 minutes to and fro, cumulatively, you would spend an average of 20.8 days or more just on commuting.

Boat_ride_to_work[1]

These folks commute to work each day on these open boats.

As much as I like water, I doubt if this would not frighten the jeepers out of me having to sit like this on an open boat, day in, day out and without life vests.

For me, it’s only good for a one-time adventure. Well, I guess they’ve got to do what needs to be done.

Out of the silent breath

Brand me whole as only you can

That the entire score of me

Knows nothing but the fullness of you.

In Pairs…Every day beautiful people 46

Sometimes, miracles come in pairs or even more.

“Double the giggles, double the grins. Double the trouble, when you’re blessed with twins,” Unknown

Twins[1] Twins_1[1] Twins_2[1]

Quite an interesting incident to go to the shops and run into several twins on the same day and in the same store.

I wondered if it was a “bring your twins shopping day,” but the cashier said that such a thing did not exist.

Out of the silent breath

Never leave me lonely on these shores

Where no one knows me

Where I stare at strange forms

Trying to find you somewhere there in their midst.

Digging Deep…Every day beautiful people #45

“Working hard is very important. You are not going to get anywhere without working extremely hard.” George Lucas

“You can’t get much done in life if you only work on the days that you feel good.” Jerry West

God bless the hands that work. May they receive their worthy wages and may doors of opportunities open up to them.

Have a great and wonderfully satisfying week.

Out of the silent breath

Enchant me with your expressive eyes, that crinkles in laughter as you speak

that I may find myself ever caught between

the reflections of your pupils and there shall I remain.

Come take a ride with me…Every day beautiful people # 43

“Fun is good.” Dr. Seuss

Whichever way you look at life, time will still fly past whether you are enjoying it or not, so, the choice is yours.

My choice is to live and enjoy each day to the best of my ability.

What’s your choice?

Where to my lady? Every day beautiful people #42

“The World is full of wonderful things you haven’t seen yet. Don’t ever give up on the chance of seeing them.” J.K. Rowling

Box_lady[1]

Naturally, my eyes are easily drawn to vivid colours. Purple is a beautiful, rich and trendy colour.

I wonder where she’s off to with her lovely purple box which incidentally matches her pillow and scarf?

Knowing myself, I would have asked her, alas, sitting behind the wheel and waiting for the light to change denied me the pleasure 😉

It’s Friday this way. Have a great weekend ahead.

Be good to yourself. Blessed be.

Jacqueline

Out of the silent breath

The air’s so crispy

The birds are quite chirpy

The magic of nature abounds

As I imbibe all the sounds.

Hello Yellow!…Every day beautiful people 40

Bandit or not Bandit?…Every day beautiful people # 39

“Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were, but without it, we go nowhere.”  Carl Sagan

Bicycle_Rider[1]

The sensible part of me knows that the bicycle rider had the scarf on his face to keep out the fine desert sand, but the nosy, imaginative busy mind of me, created another scenario, to which he’s now an accomplice in a story.

It just couldn’t get any better, with the band on his face, the cap, the knapsack and a bicycle for a quick getaway 😉
