Give Your Blogging Business That Professional Look

To successfully make money with your blogging business, you need to ensure that it does look the part. Often, this means that you need to go out of your way to ensure it is as professional as you would hope. If it is not quite there in this respect, it is much less likely that people will really admire or respect it, and that will only result in fewer customers and less income. Fortunately, it is not too difficult to ensure that your blogging business looks the part, and as long as you take care of the following elements you should be able to improve its professionalism greatly.

Make It Look Bigger

In some respects, it can be helpful to make your blogging business appear as more than it is. This can be done in many ways, and it is a matter of thinking about what a larger business looks like, how it appears and making sure that your home business follows suit. To achieve this, you might want to begin with the way that customer get in touch with you. They can immediately tell if it is a much more humble business if you have a normal home email address and are using a home address for the post. Instead, you could make use of a cheap mailbox forwarding service to give your company a little more credibility, and you can make sure to sign up for an email address attached to your own domain. It doesn’t cost much to do, and yet it can make a significant difference.

Spruce Up The Site

Clearly, a blogging business’ most important asset of all is the website itself, so working on this is a great way of ensuring that you are keeping things running well. Regarding giving your business a professional look, you can easily achieve this just by ensuring that your website is exactly what you would expect a professional site to be and to look like. You can spruce up your site by using a service like Wix, or if you are happy to spend a little cash you could hire a professional web developer to do it for you. However it’s done, this will certainly ensure that your business appears much more professional as a result.

Act Professionally

Ultimately, the best way to make your business appear professional is to approach everything that you do professionally. What this entails is up for debate, and it varies from company to company and individual to individual. But as long as you act professionally, you can be certain that at least some of this will carry over into how your business looks, and you will end up looking professional as well. Remember that, and don’t be tempted to lull yourself into an unprofessional approach at any time. You will find that doing this makes an enormous difference to how well your business is received.

The above three examples are all great ways to give your business a little more professionalism in appearance, and it’s worth considering them all.

What About You? Affirmation Challenge Day 26

I am strong because I recognize my weaknesses and own them. My bad days are not a sign of failure but are the days that I am fighting my hardest and I know that my strength is greater than my struggles. I am a warrior.

Sail On…A Thought For Tuesday

Our hardship forms the backbone of our success. Without these travails – as unpleasant as they may be – where would our stories of triumph be?

DancingPalmTrees: Jacqueline, You’re a Genius!.
Your blog post got me to thinking about how to price my paintings. Just like I find inspiration for creating collages and paintings I was also able to find more instruction videos on pricing one’s artworks.

What About You? Affirmation Challenge Day 24

I am ready to prosper beyond my expectations. I am worthy of a positive cash flow and I break the chains of every mental, spiritual, physical, emotional resistance to attracting financial growth. Jacqueline

A lot of artists/writers/bloggers feel uncomfortable and embarassed about addressing the money issue and their material needs. They think that wanting to earn more than a pittance makes them less authentic. Well, the truth is that whether you are authentic or not, we all have bills to pay and if you don’t take care of the financial side of your existence, these bills will surely give you a rude awakening.

Of course, most of us do what we do for the love of doing it, but it’s certainly okay for your passion to grow from just being a hobby to an incredible pipeline of sustainable income. Be fruitful and multiply.

I love this quote from yesterday:

DancingPalmTrees: Speaking of being fruitful today on a somewhat cloudy Caturday Saturday I spent time at the local neighborhood community garden. The Phoenix Community Garden is a lovely way to spend an hour or so. The Senior Citizens and Retirees who maintain the garden do an excellent job of growing food and flowers.
I took lots of photos which are posted on My Photography Blog Roaming Urban Gypsy. It became a 7 part series! Of course I also spent time enjoying the garden in my own backyard.
Time spent in gardens and nature is time well spent!

A Lesson in The Bug…

I think that I’ve been bitten by the bug of a thought following Linda’s earlier prompt for SoCS.

Does the saying that ‘the early bird gets to eat the fattest worm’ ever bug you a bit? Well, it does bite me in the butt now and again. Sometimes I feel that I’m late for lifes’ party and that the early birds before me have harvested the best and the fattest worms, leaving slim pickings for those of us who made it late.Related image

When my thought pattern begins to go down this route of ‘woe is me and regretting time lost’ I painstakingly drag it back to the present firmly reminding myself of a couple of common Igbo adages that say, ‘when someone wakes up is their morning,’ and ‘the first house built on the street is not necessarily the finest.’

Reminding oneself that the land is still green and full of harvest and that the Earth is abundant for every one of us is not cold comfort or living in a fool’s paradise. It is true. However, it is based on your perspective.

Our reality is what it is, but our reality is equally what we can make it ‘to be’ if we want it badly enough. Constantly comparing our circumstance to that of someone else who seems to be thriving better simply exposes us to the evil twins – envy and jealousy – and allowing these two to occupy free space in your heart never bodes well for anyone.

I would say that as life keeps evolving, just wear your dancing shoes. Today’s early bird might become tomorrow’s hunters’ prey, so stop fretting about being late for lifes’ party and simply start your own party, there will always be enough guests to invite.

Nary A Bug in Sight…SoCS

Forget about the fabulous, ginormous buildings and flashy highways, this is an arid desert. It’s so dry to such an extent that even the bugs have reservations about inhabiting this space. When I take my morning walks, I look at the plants/flowers around hoping to catch a bug or two, but nary any to be seen creeping about. They have done well by planting flowers and trees – well maintained and fertilized by our defecation and pee-pee which is routinely collected by special trucks, if I may say so. Luckily, some of these trees can withstand the scorching heat to a large extent, but it seems like all the bugs, butterflies, bees, birds and creepy crawlies hibernate or migrate till the cooler months at the end of the year.

Come to think of it, I haven’t seen a caterpillar going to three years now. I guess it’s one of the prices that one pays for living in a big city, you miss out on being out and about in nature as much as you would like and as a result, you don’t get to see Earths minutiae creatures going about their business. One thing that I’m looking forward to sometime in the near future is living again in a proper house with its own grounds where I can grow vegetables, plant flowers, put out birdseed…

Writing this just made me feel nostalgic. I had no idea that there would come a point when I would miss the Squirrels that used to scurry up the tree in my front lawn back in Cypress Fairbanks.

P.S. For some reason I forgot yesterday was Saturday. I have no idea where the days are racing to.

The Purple Panties…Flash Fiction

The frilly purple underwear fought the peg that held it to the clothesline as if in protest against being held down. Its vigorous flapping attracted the attention of several eyes’ – it was simply the prettiest thing in sight.

Casting second, third and fourth stealthy glances, imaginary thoughts of its softness encasing and caressing the skin was worth taking the risk.

With no one watching, in a quick flash of hands, the clothes pin was removed, but the gust of wind was faster and the flowery slip sailed over the fence and attached itself to the radio antenna of a van zooming past.

In dismay, he watched the van weave its way down the street with a purple slip of silk waving in mockery.
