They showed up and stood in the shadows
holding their breath, filled with baleful hope.
Like ominous Vultures circling the cadaver,
they wait for you to crack,
watching eagerly for your downfall.
Do you fall
or
Do you fight?
The choice is always yours.

That sure is one menacing photo and poem. On another subject, did you get Oneta’s Writer’s Quote Challenge?

Hi Bernadette, I had one funny dream and the poem came as a result. Just checked Oneta’s blog and saw the quote but I didn’t see her pingback. I’ve reblogged it.

If that menace were after me, I would call on my Hero, Jesus Christ! Then I would run if I could!

Thank you dear Aishwarya. It was born out of a dream.

Ever think that sometimes a vulture, circling in endless loops over a cadaver free landscape, might think, “patience hell, I’m going to kill something?”

Hmm! That’s another perspective you know. They do look frightening enough.
