It all starts with a little seed, that you plant, diligently tender and leave in the hands of the Lord of bounty to reward your efforts.
Last week, I applied for WordAds to be added to my blog since I am interested in earning a stipend for the hours that I am plugging away on this blog.
The initial feedback was a bit disconcerting for me. Basically, the response boiled down to the advice that I should go and wait and that they will get back to me if they find my stats satisfactory.
Given that my blog is a premium blog, for ads to be put in, you must have to meet a certain measure of traffic, which I presume is the general rule.
To cut a long story short, I went to sleep not to glad and I remember in my sleep, asking God to please not let my labour be in vain and reminding him of his words that a labourer is worthy of his wages.
To my delight, yesterday, I got a notification that my blog has been approved for WordAds and saw the ads placed on it.
It’s a gratifying moment for me and I am deeply thankful for this opportunity.
‘It will all end in praise.’

So they really had to think about it, eh? 800 visits a day just not quite good enough yet? They initially made a mistake and know it lol

Tasha, I was really perturbed a bit by that. I wondered what views they required before they can approve it. I even think that it should be available to any one who wants it and then they know that whatever they earn is dependent on their monthly view. Now I understand why the guy that was moaning over 500 views was doing that.

You should. We work hard at this blogging thing, so if we can get other side benefits, that would be nice.

It’s really necessary that we support each other because we are in it together. You are a darling.

Especially regarding a philosophy blog, we do not alter content an iota to please WordPress or advertisers, but for yours it is more ok. WordPress seems better than most companies at avoiding offensive adds, though I did see muscles and skin on one of mine up at the library, which I find offensive. WordPress does not show us the adds, nor do we have a chance to select them for content, or I would advertise good books, for both our benefit. Companies are not always very bright!Way worse is if, like u-tube, they do what we call involuntary shopping, taking a busy person too broke to shop anyway and making them watch adds. I leave almost immediately. Once on the website of a Christian preacher who is himself chastely married, at a community college computer room, I thought to myself “Why am I seeing more skin than I have since giving an exam in April (we have to watch the students for cheating, and we suspect they do a little advertising to influence the teacher.) Internet Integrity is one of my big issues, and in the U.S., the advertisers are used to competing by doing what sells, which is not always the most beautiful nor noble.
Congratulations! Your blog is the best I have seen, so, listen up WordPress! This woman is worth a fortune!!

Wow, girl, you travel! I have so few visitors, I can see where you are. Is that ok? Hey, if I can get 600 signatures from people in my county, I may run for U.S. Congress! I won’t mind losing, ‘ cause I love my cats and my shed, the one behind the apple tree! P. S. you may always edit my comments.
