Rononvan's Weekly Haiku Challenge

Mindset – Ronovan writes weekly haiku challenge.

This week’s haiku prompt ‘Change & Mind,’ made me think of myself and how my mind seems clogged these days with tons of stuff that I need to do. Our mind is our powerhouse and every change we crave to achieve stems from it. Like is popularly said, change your mind and you change your life.

Our mind is our powerhouse and every change we crave to achieve stems from it. Like is popularly said, change your mind and you change your life.

I have a lot on my mind

that I must attend to,

to achieve the changes that I want.

**

A closed mind

gives little room

for any changes.

**

When you change your myopic mindset

you are open to affirmations

that will ultimately change your life

♦  When you expand your thinking, your beliefs and everything about yourself, your love and understanding flow freely.

♦ On the alternate side, when you contract, you put up walls and shut yourself off from growth.

Always ask yourself; ‘do I want to grow or do I want to remain stunted?’

Awesome thoughts come in from Oba’s big picture  and Rosema’s handpicked. You’ve got to read these 🙂

Fountain of thoughts.

♦  The pool of your positive thoughts and actions create an incredible body of thoughts that can grow into an ocean of resource that will impact on you and those around you.

♦ On the other hand, creating a pool of negative and toxic thoughts and actions also creates the possibility of drowning in a sea of toxic negativity.

♥ Sometimes, it takes a downpour in our lives to unveil the rough gems that we’ve got hidden within.

♥ When going through a rough time, be patient with yourself, for your impatience will only aggravate the situation.

Life does grant us ups and downs and sometimes upheavals that can send us off track, however, experience has shown that when we keep our peace within us and steady the ship that’s our life, we are better positioned not only to come out victorious, but probably have the chance of self-discovery and inner strength that we had no idea we possessed.

Find more snippets of wisdom from awesome bloggers below and do take a moment to read.

And the Sun will rise. These are worth memorizing and remind yourself of it ever so often.

52 weeks of thankfulness: Bernadette rightfully said this that there’s power of positive group energy and this Challenge is a great idea. I believe in the power of thankfulness.

You are not powerless: I love this quote and as difficult as it may sound it’s very possible.

Tuesdays Nuggets: The wisdom of Audrey Hepburn say’s it all. Is your beauty skin-deep?

Words of wisdom: Deb’s words are indeed filled with commonsense and deep wisdom. Take a read.

Five quotes for you when you feel lonely even when you have a partner: these are really useful thoughts, for a lot of times we may be in a crowd, surrounded by others yet a chasm seems to exist somewhere in our moments.

I hope that you find these little drops useful now and again and it would be lovely if you can share your thoughts with us.

Thanks and blessed be.

I always find it refreshing to get to know those I interact with a bit better and today not only did she share some aspect about her but a little knowledge of Mugglestones, which is quite enlightening to know. Worry and fear are intermarried and no one likes how both make you feel, yet it’s often difficult to stop and they tend to grow in enormity until they become huge factors that occupy they mind of the troubled person.

Worrying can be helpful if it spurs you to take the necessary actions to solve a problem.

However, if you’re preoccupied with all the what if’s and the worst-case scenarios, it turns into fear and becomes a problem.

Persistent doubts and fears can be paralyzing because they will sap your emotional energy, raise your anxiety levels even induce possible panic attacks and affect your daily life as well as how you view things.

Persistent worrying is a mental habit that you can break, but it will require training your mind and body to stay calm while maintaining a more positive perspective towards life.

There’s a little trick that I’ve been implementing for years now and it’s helped me in enormous ways.

  • I created a worry period by choosing a specific time and mostly early in the morning when I wake up and about to do my meditative prayer. This way, I de-clutter my mind as much as possible and reduce all sources of anxiety before my day takes off. If possible choose a set time and place for worrying and during the worry period, let yourself dwell on the issues on your mind but for the rest of the day, maintain a worry-free zone.  The best way to get a handle on this is by writing down the things bothering you and go over them one by one, but only for the amount of time you’ve specified for it.

Having a period to worry over issues is effective because it helps you to break the habit of dwelling on them when you’ve got other things to do. You are neither suppressing these thoughts but simply apportioning time to them as you do your other daily activities and as you keep up with the practice you will find that you have the ability to postpone your anxious thoughts and to be in better control.

All the best.

Jacqueline

To draw a line between fear-based and love-based decisions can be daunting even when our choices are made out of love.

However, we can get better hold and clarity of our choices when we invest a little time in thinking over the basis of our decisions. Am I doing this because I am afraid? If I wasn’t afraid, would this still be my choice?

Try to get to that fearless place in your imagination and figure out those thoughts and decisions that still have energy and those that their fire has dwindled when the steam of anxiety/fear is taken out.

Choices made out of love and true conviction are far more enduring.

A problem can actually become a blessing if we are wise enough to use them to grow stronger.

Wisdom that will bear fruits should never be cast on loose soil that’s lost its fertility.

The thought above came to me when I reflected on the fact that what we are reaping in today’s World, are all the seeds that were sown in the past and as we continue to cast our seeds, may we choose our soil wisely, otherwise we will never have any worthwhile harvest.

Below are more snippets of wisdom from awesome bloggers. Take a moment to read.

In ten days, we will be out of the month of June.

The first-half of the year would be done with and we’ll be sliding into the second half.

How have you been holding up with all the plans you set out for this year?

Have you taken the time to take stock and see where you are at?

There’s still a lot of time to get rolling with all those promises you made to yourself  for this year.

Earlier in the year, I published a post ‘why our resolutions are so last season,’ and it might be worth a quick peek.

All the best as you push along. Let me speak a bit of French here:

Petit à petit, l’oiseau fait son nid. Bit by bit, the bird builds it’s nest.

The key word is to get building 🙂

Blessed be.

Life is full of crooked paths that we don’t envisage, no matter how much we plan.

Of course, there are certain things that we can take charge of and brace ourselves for incidentals, but there’s really so much that one can do.

However, when we keep our minds on a positive track, we’ll find a way through that tight and crooked path onto a more suitable highway.

Writing is not an easy path at all. It’s not a journey to instant wealth, but when we look at the fulfilment derived and also know that our works will hopefully ingrain themselves on the sands of time, that is gratification that keeps you going through this windy and tedious path.

**today I realised that this is the 100th-midnight musings post and it amazes me that I’ve been able to keep up with it**
