Smiles: the best makeup any human can wear is a warm smile.

Change for them: will you do so? Are you able to do so? Short and wise quote.

Tiny teacher still a bear: Most times we need to learn from the children. I loved this short narrative story and I think I read it in a child’s voice 😉

I loved the idea of her: a short tale of love, expectations, and the interesting tapestry formed when you fall in love with someone whose ideology is in direct opposite of yours.

♦  When you expand your thinking, your beliefs and everything about yourself, your love and understanding flow freely.

♦ On the alternate side, when you contract, you put up walls and shut yourself off from growth.

Always ask yourself; ‘do I want to grow or do I want to remain stunted?’

Awesome thoughts come in from Oba’s big picture  and Rosema’s handpicked. You’ve got to read these 🙂

Not Too Narrow!

Narrow can be good as long as it’s not narrow-minded. Most narrow-minded people also spout the nonsense that comes from the smallness of their minds.

Today we are asked to show bits of narrow that we can capture

Out of the silent breath

Jacqueline Oby-Ikocha’s poems portray images that stare us right in the face. Images of love, joy, death, pain, challenges, violation, and freedom. She writes in a language that’s rich in imagery, earthy, honest, vulnerable, yet full of the promise of hope, of loving and of Grace. A collection of light and dark soulful prose.

Everyday People

Team building Works – Everyday people

“Unity is strength...when there’s teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved.” Mattie J.T. Stepanek

“Sometimes the most ordinary things can be made extraordinary simply by doing them with the right people.” Nicholas Sparks

I met these folks in the photo having a good time as a team. Their whoops and cheerful sounds drew my attention and like I had suspected a member confirmed that they were having their team building activities.

I have always believed in the power of togetherness because you can achieve so much more when you have others with you. An African adage says “when you want to go fast you go alone, but if you wish to go far, you go with others.”

We also say that “a boat will not go forward if each individual is rowing their own way.”

It’s a Simple Act!

The simple act of love
is elusive to so many,
not because ‘to love’ is difficult
but because of the limiting roadblocks
they have placed on their minds.

Love_and_Hate[1]

♦  When we love and care for others, we give ourselves a priceless makeover from the inner courts of our being to the outer.

♦ It takes far more energy to hate than to show love to someone, so it makes more sense to invest in love only if we are sensible enough to realise this.

Scientifically the feel-good hormones released into our systems makes us happy, elongates our lifespan, reduces stress and so much more, while hate, anger and other negative emotions release Cortisol which does physiological damage to the human body and mind.

Delightful Toppings…

Cherries on top are pretty and metaphorically speaking, I certainly love lots of cherry on top moments in my life 🙂

Sunset

A day draws to a close with a gorgeous Sunset that always reminds me that every sun that sets also promises a new dawn and instils a warm sense of peace inside me. I remember my mother always saying that when you let the Sun go down on your sense of unrest you wake up carrying over residues of anger.

Love sculpture

Open up your heart and don’t close your mind. Let the cherries of other people’s love and care decorate your life.

Dessert

Oh! My sweet desserts! I love such sweet talk 😉

Cupcakes

Have a cupcake and a pleasant weekend 🙂

Glowing fountain

May the fountain of your life keep glowing with grace and cheerful light on top.

♦  When you are feeling down, by all means, don’t ignore your feelings, acknowledge and ‘deal with them,’ if you don’t you’ll simply pile them up that one day it becomes an avalanche.

♦  Do not stay down for too long, for climbing out of a rock-bottom pit is far more difficult than falling into it.

With the way life has been, it’s no surprise if anyone feels down, but the hard truth is that it’s probably never going to be a smooth sailing life ever, so except one wants to remain down and rock-bottom out, it’s better to acknowledge the problems especially if you can’t run away from them and begin to apply your own practical and sensible solutions in dealing with those that are within your purview.

It’s just one chance that we’ve got to live this life and we’ve got to keep giving it the best shot.

BEAUTIFUL posts from Deborah and Petra:

Joyful childlike qualities: this post touches me that I have no precise words to express how Deborah’s connection and words about her autistic brother make me feel. Stephen lives life in the present moment with childlike enthusiasm 🙂

Look up: sometimes things may not go exactly as we wish them to, but they only challenge us to look up and see other alternatives and narratives.

Please do step in and share a moment or two. One thing that I have learnt with doing this exercise is that I have always come away far more enriched than I set out.
