Thoughts and Tales…A Lifestyle Blog with a Zing.
I love pretty things. They are delightful to look at. I’ve always loved colour splashes and if truth be told, I have no favourite colour ‘cos I love them all.
There’s something pretty about each hue and my eclectic self can never seem to decide on a colour that’s the best colour.
I’m a sound of music kinda girl and at the same time a spirited ruff and tumble kind of person.
I no longer try to define myself because no definition does a pretty good job of summing me up. I confuse the heck out of my dear Himself at times 🙂
Pretty ribbons and sashes, pretty flowers, a pretty, frilly, girly frock are a few of my favourite things.
A pretty frock on a little girl or indeed a lady transforms her. I do own several pretty dresses though my jeans are my quick get-ups to wear when in a dash.
On Sundays, I enjoy dressing up for Church, in a pretty dress, my heels and sometimes a hat or scarf depending on my mood.
My walk simply changes and the swing in my hips decidedly pronounced, I guess it’s the combination of the heels and dress and my dear husband loves it too 😉
These days, I take my time to shop – except for groceries that are essential to survival. I choose carefully what I want to buy either for my home or to wear. It has to be pretty, aesthetically pleasing. Something that would make my heart smile.
There’s no point acquiring things just sporadically and for the fun of it. I try to surround myself with those pretty things that warm me up and enhance my sense of pleasure.
Life is pretty fast these days and the days are too short to waste on ugliness.

Mundane Monday challenge is created to find beauty in almost everything.
The challenge is simple. Find beauty in everyday mundane things, capture the beauty and upload the photographs.
After washing my daughters’ hair with the new shampoo that I just bought, the fruity fragrance clung in the air and the soap suds were pale aquamarine colour. Since I was searching for my Mundane Monday shot, I decided to take a quick snap. Unfortunately, I couldn’t capture the fragrance 🙂

When I saw The Daily Post Photo Challenge prompt for ‘details’ I wondered for a few seconds where I was going to find something with details and almost decided not to bother with it, but my curious mind decided to idle through my photos and I must say that I surprised myself when I found several photos that seem to fit the bill.
Below is my first just published Poetry Book “Out of the silent breath” which is available on Amazon and Smashwords.

Jacqueline writes from her heart on passion, pain, suffering, loss and LIFE. I have been incredibly moved by her poetry and I know I will return to “Out of the Silent Breath” again and again.
If you enjoy my works and would like to do so, you can fuel my creativity with a slice of cake or coffee

Women are the real architects of society – Anon
I saw her from afar
She certainly stood apart
Like a beautiful Rose
Caught in a family of bramble.

“Friends are the family we choose for ourselves.” Edna Buchanan
I sat yesterday nursing a smoothie after work and trying to write a couple of lines before moving along, but as usual my eyes’ were drawn to passersby when the two lovely ladies strolled by leisurely chatting, laughing and hands entwined as they admired the dresses through the boutiques show glass.
My eyes trailed them for several minutes and after a while I could no longer resist going up to chat with them briefly. They shared bits about themselves and their philosophy with me and I went away feeling fuller in spirit and wearing a smile.
Indeed, friends can be found in unlikely places and a true friend will accept who you are, will hold your hand and will help you become who you should be.

One cheerful colour that I like. It perks up my mood and yes, it makes me feel bright 🙂

Never leave me lonely
With words left unsaid
You walk away into the dark
Like a mist, that melts away.
Every tattoo has a little story behind it. I wonder what the story to the flowers on her legs. Hmm, I should have asked, now I’m wishing I did 😉
On Thursday’s, I share pictures about ‘Echos of my Neighbourhood.
I would like to invite you to participate. The challenge is quite simple.
Every Thursday, share a photo of bits and pieces of wherever you are at any point in time. It could be a house, backgrounds of your neighbourhood, activities and so forth and you can tag it Echos of my Neighbourhood, add my link to your post so that I will get the ping from your post.
Every other Thursday, I will publish a post with the links of all those who participated the previous week.
This is just a fun way of getting to see more of the World around us through your eyes since we cannot all be at those places, we could, at least, see them through you.
We found time during the weekend to go to the Miracle Garden where I took tons of photos. Just sharing a bit of some of them with you and will share a bit more another time.
It’s a lovely place to spend a day. Always teeming with tourists and families especially during the weekend.
There are blooming petals everywhere and the mingled floral essence of these flowers hangs delicately in the air as you have an ice-lolly and traipse around leisurely or enjoy relaxing in one of the sit-outs or swings to be found around the perimeters.

Thoughts and entanglements Nature’s bursts in spades of beauty. The circle of birth and death.
Like Mercury Colliding Nature has so much in store for us and teaches us through its cycle. A Spring miracle to behold.
Mammoth Norwich Castle museum and art gallery certainly holds some ginormous treasure in them.
Doggerland I didn’t know about this until I looked at Kim’s photo and read her short presentation.
Mile of daffs beautiful miles of springing daffodils.
