Life comes with Baggage — so you might as well carry something fabulous!

Let’s be honest, every single one of us is carrying some kind of baggage and in a lot of cases, they are overloaded with emotional, mental, spiritual, financial and physical demands… sometimes all five before breakfast.

Some people glide through life with a cute little carry‑on, organized, zipped and labelled, whilst others are dragging around a suitcase that’s been through more drama than a Netflix series, kicked by life, sat on by disappointment, and duct‑taped shut with an I’m fine energy.
Some a carry trendy cross-body in an attempt to keep their personal effects as close to the chest as possible. And then there are the rest of us — wheeling our life lessons behind, praying fervently under our breath “please don’t let this thing burst open in front of everyone today.”

But here’s the beautiful part:  Baggage means you’ve lived.  It means you’ve tried, you’ve loved, you’ve fallen, you’ve grown.  It means you’re human. Some days you unpack a little.  Some days you add a new lesson to the side pocket of your quilted leather bag and some days you just sit on the floor of your soul’s airport and breathe.

And that’s okay.

Because the goal isn’t to have no baggage.  The goal is to travel lighter, to walk with grace, to be gentle with yourself, and to remember that everyone around you is doing the same; even if their totes, backpacks, evening bags, purses and suitcases look fancier than yours. The goal is to

Always remember this: YOUR BAGGAGE DOESN’T DEFINE YOU!  How you carry it does.

And if life insists on giving you some luggage, you might as well upgrade to something stylish, sturdy, ready for the journey and helps you move effortlessly with confidence and ease. Because the truth is: you deserve a bag that matches your resilience.

A cool bag that says, “I’ve been through things… but I still look good.”  A bag that holds your essentials, your dreams, your chaos — and does it with class.

So whether you’re unpacking old stories, packing for new adventures,  or simply trying to keep your life zipped together…choose a bag that supports you the way you support everyone else.

Life will certainly give you baggage but, we just help you carry it beautifully.

Your Luxury…

Our lives are our most luxurious asset
and should be treated as such.

‘Cos every other material possession that we have can be replaced.

However, it’s amazing at the low premium some people
place on their lives and others, by treating human life so poorly.

It was just interesting to watch the smile and gleam in the eyes of these gentlemen as they admired the ritzy, gleaming red, little ride.

I actually think this red ride is more my thing than theirs. I can see myself in a bigger version to accommodate my ampleness, with the roof down, my scarf and locks flying in the air as I nip about town 😉

Well, let’s keep that thought in my mind’s eye for now.

Below is my first just published Poetry Book “Out of the silent breath” which is available on Amazon and Smashwords.

A Frolicking Day….

Caught in the mesh of street weaving.
Caught in the mesh of street weaving.

Ever since I became a wife and mother, my views about days off and such luxury changed. Ideal days off or should I say hours off are found in snatches here and there.

It all depends on what is happening in our lives at that point in time. It would start with waking up and finding that my family are in good state of health. No major dramas except the usual hungry humans, school/work related matters, housekeeping blah, blah.

The young ones

It’s a day off to go shopping quietly all by myself and return without settling a thousand squabbles of my offspring along the way.

It’s a day off in my mind when I have that me time to unwind and read my book, listen to music, dance, take a walk or savour a good meal.

However, there are also extra special days such as the one that I spent today with the kiddos at Jumeirah Beach.1447418857488[1]

It’s weekend already in this part of the World and we decided to generally go lounging and frolicking in the water and sand.

It is rewarding in so many ways to spend time like this with them.

Lounging and enjoying the fresh breeze coupled with people watching is an awesome sport too 😉

The beach presents you literally with humans of all shapes and sizes. You can watch and make up stories in your mind to your hearts delight, then again, some real time stories get to happen right before your eyes.1447419147767[1]

Day offs are really what one chooses to make of it. For me it is a state of well-being/mind and finding my peace in the midst of each days ups and downs.
