Let’s add some SPRING to the tale ๐ You can crack your Story telling imaginationย by contributing to this tag along Spring fiction below. The full story will be published on my Tuesdayโs Trivia with every part attributed to the contributor. So here goesโฆ
Buds of Spring
Georgette looks out of the window
The cold is fast thawing out and little fresh sprigs are sprouting.
It should be warm soon
Yet the coldness in her heart did not match the liveliness of the budding Spring
Her heart feels like a ghost town.
Where is he?
He promised her everything and she believed in him…
Counting the days and hoping that it’s just a dream.
‘Back in my home country, when we call for a party, we call for a party. We donโt skimp. Our hospitality is legendary. We even give out party tokens, so help yourself to an Easter Party Pack. You are welcome :-)’
I smile in amusement as I write this little post. If not that Easter eggs are popping up every where, my thought would have been that Lindaย has bionic powers to see into my kitchen.
I just finished breakfast of partially burnt scrambled eggs offered by my daughter. We are learning to cook and I guess burning is part of the practice ๐
I humbly ate the eggs with a thankful heart. Soon enough she will get the hang of it with practice.
I think fleetingly back to my growing up years and learning how to cook in my mother’s kitchen. Only God knows how many burnt pots of rice, yam, beans, soup, I had to go through before getting into it.
Eggs were treats back then, eaten mostly on Saturday and Sundays because we had to wait for our local, home bred chickens to lay enough of them and on some days during the week, they were stingy or lazy with the laying of the eggs.
It’s not like now, where trays and trays of different types of eggs are on display for customers to choose as many crates as they wish.
Back then, it used to be a delight to go to the chicken coop at the back and find a warm, just laid egg.
Occasionally we were blessed with seeing a little chick hatch from eggs that my grandma set aside.
How she knew the ones that would hatch is something that I never understood.
Oh this is fun And I want a bun Itโs time for lunch Or better still letโs have a brunch A kettle of Cardamon tea And a slice of vanilla cake A sip of rich coffee And that bite of apple โฆ
Nothing creates mystery like the cloak of the dark.
Darkness amplifies suspense and sound.
Even a frog will look princely in the dark. It casts a romantic pall and softens the sharp edges of stark daylight.
For todayโs photo 101 theme ‘Mystery and Lighting effect, I couldn’t find the eye of a dog and my neighbours dog wasn’t very forthcoming at looking me in the eyes even after a doggy bribe ๐
Anyway’s I searched in my photos to see if I had mystery lurking around anywhere and I dug up some stuff that I hope are satisfactory.

An interesting meeting point
Sun going down at the park.
Very peaceful today. Not crowd yet.
The lone swimmer.
The dark night and twinkling lights kindles inspiration
I like how it looks like a fortress with behind the shrubbery.
The images cut my eye.
I like this ๐
I love them ๐
Peeking down a quiet walk way.
Romance at sundown.
The little doggie was very curious about me as I walked by. He actually yipped at me, then trotted along for a few yards.
She looks at peace in her World.
Catching my shadowy reflection
Just exploring
I don’t know what it is, but I like the photo.
I captured the picture of the lone worker as the train trundled past some evenings ago. I like taking the trains.
An accidental photo. No idea how it happened, but I like it.
Cut the two silhouettes in the window.
She refused to show her deep brown mysterious eyes ๐
They took pictures, I also indulged ๐
I was walking behind her along the quite corridor and the click-clack of the heels made me take a picture.
