Today’s Photo 101 theme is landscape and cropping where nature is our main subject, or a sweeping panorama of an entire city, town or industrial area.
A few shots were taken during this morning’s walk-about and many are from the previous week.

Angela looks out of the window in delight at the fair weather, the Sun’s rays wink from beneath the clouds.
Ah! Finally, a beautiful day to frolic, riding bicycles and having a picnic in the park.
It’s a good day today, she hums to herself, rousing the boys from their computer games to assemble the items for an outdoor foray.
The rumble of Thunder, gives pause to her delight and true to type, the fickle weather has changed it’s mind.
We shall just have to have this picnic in the living room she mutters in deflation.

It’s definitely important to review our steps from time to time, to see where we are and where we are coming from.
However, you shouldn’t feel dissuaded if you do a review and find that things are dragging a bit and not working out as fast as you would want, especially if you look and perceive that others might be running faster.
These days, life is on the micro-wave lane and we almost expect everything around us to fall into such category, but there are things that we cannot necessarily change as fast as we wish.
What we have to do, is to establish a rhythm that we can sustain.
Success is built over time, with patience and diligence. It’s not a sprint, but a long-drawn marathon, filled with hills, valleys, cobblestones to trip you up and sometimes muddy swampy pathways with noisome mosquitoes along the track 🙂
Just keep going. Each day, add another jigsaw to the puzzle.

So, I will just cut to the chase of the matter and attach my photos for today’s photo 101 theme ‘scale and observation.’
I am so totally knackered and my brain is running at half tank from insufficient snooze.

On Thursday’s, I share pictures about ‘Echos of my Neighbourhood.
I would like to invite you to participate. The challenge is quite simple.
Every Thursday, share a photo of bits and pieces of wherever you are at any point in time. It could be houses, backgrounds of your neighbourhood, activities and so forth and you can tag it Echos of my Neighbourhood, add my link to your post so that I will get the ping from your post.
Every other Thursday, I will publish a post with the links of all those who participated the previous week.
This is just a fun way of getting to see more of the World around us through your eyes, since we cannot all be at those places, we can at least see them through you.
My Echoes came out a bit late today. I am bleary eyed and tired, maybe even jet-lagged from sitting at the airport till 3 am this morning, waiting to pick up family.
This week found me going out a bit more due to photo 101 course and I have shared a lot of those ones. These one’s were taken in the last 3 days and last night, or should I say wee hours of this morning.
The art exhibits are beautiful, but a bit pocket denting.
I attended a literature expo and my goodness, it was well put together and very well attended program.
I honestly don’t have the energy to tag all the photos and still do photo 101, so I just shared these bits.
Thank you for tolerating my yawning 😉

Buds of Spring
Georgette looks out of the window
The cold is fast thawing out and little fresh sprigs are sprouting.
It should be warm soon
Yet the coldness in her heart did not match the liveliness of the budding Spring
Her heart feels like a ghost town.
Where is he?
He promised her everything and she believed in him…
Counting the days and hoping that it’s just a dream.
A COOKING POT AND TWISTED TALES
*********
She wallowed, has winter turned to spring.
Georgette thought about him all the time,
In her mind she went over, all the special times they shared together.
By her pillow she kept, the last shirt he had worn,
It still smelled like him, and made her want him more.
Would he keep his promise and return,
Or would spring arrive everywhere but in her heart. MANDIBELLE
*********
From the heart’s wreckage
springs hope, a bloom delivered
“Miss you” scrawled on note
not forgotten yet
not this Georgette, rose in hand
sweet perfume in nose
Wait until summer
search for him in heat shimmers
raising wavy hopes… MELINDA KUCSERA
*********
Georgette sat wistfully looking out her window.
The sun was shining. The birds were tweeting, prancing, dancing and courting.
Large, colourful butterflies performed a graceful aerial ballet whiles the bees supped nectar and collected pollen.
The soft breeze ruffled the lush new green leaves in the trees.
It looked so serene and peaceful. Everywhere but in her heart. It was barren.SOUL GIFTS
**********
Please can someone help bail Georgette out?
We can’t let her heart languish in a barren state 😉
Feel free to add your contribution and the collabo will continue if you do.
