The niggling doubts that hound our efforts are the enemy of our progress and once undue attention is paid to such doubts, fear sets in.
It’s natural to question and think through a project that you want to embark on, but our reasoning and decisions have to be taken from a logical standpoint.
Like my people would say ‘not everything that crawls on its belly is a snake,’ in other words, not every doubt that comes up is worth the time of the day. Keeping focused may be difficult but it’s worth the while to keep one’s eyes on the objectives.
Over the past few months, I’ve had struggles, but I’ve refused to let these struggles define nor stop me and each day, the burden of doubt reduces.
Jacqueline
Thanks! I needed this today! 🙂

Dear sister, this post made me think long and hard about doubt; that niggling incessant whispering. The proverb drives it home: all of God’s creation serves a purpose. Doubts can either challenge us or we can let them hinder or stop us. We choose. Together we can do this! ❤

This a wonderful post!! Whenever Mr. Doubt comes knocking at my door, I invite him in for tea, listen to what he has to say and then show him to the door. But those moments of listening to what Im fearing is sometimes excruciating.

Thank you Alexis. Yes indeed, we invite him for a cuppa and shoo him out of the door.Whatever he says should be taken with a spoonful of salt 😉

Your quote is so very true – do it afraid. And those things I did while I was afraid are the accomplishments that give me the most pleasure.

YES, Bernadette! This is what really captured my eye also. Courage is defined by fear, NOT by fearlessness. And I’ll add to that: When I am bored, when I am fatigued, when I am sad, when I am ___________…. Thank you, Jacquie!!!

I think doubt creeps up now and again and when unexpected but the secret or not so secret art of ‘keep moving and detoxing the mind,’ helps a great deal. Take it easy and just keep going.

Doubt and fear can paralyze us if given the chance. The only solution is to keep moving forward. Another awesome post, Jacqueline. 🙂

I know that feeling Rashmi and have been going through that tug of war myself. These words that I share are equally a way of pepping up myself. Just keep at it and more grace to you 🙂

Thanks J. I haven’t written in a while because of That useless, unwavering doubt about not drawing traffic. my blog just seem to sit there. it must spen 1 second in the READER because I had to do a search to see it. But I have a plan — I shall write and they will come.

That’s the spirit! They say that bravery is when we’re afraid but nevertheless do act as we must. It’s so much more impressive than mere fearlessness.

If we were fearless all the time, I truly don’t think we’ll achieve great things of value.
