Mundane Monday Challenge is created to find beauty in almost everything.
The challenge is simple : find beauty in everyday mundane things, capture the beauty and upload the photographs.
I bought sweet potatoes for my three days menu plan, by the time I got to use it, it had started sprouting.
That gave me a little pause to dwell on the life cycle of a plant, or the potato as the case may be.
Life does not need us to happen all by itself.
The potato showed signs of not minding being replanted to yield more harvest.
Are you replanting something?

Hi Jackie,
This reminded me of something that happened at home yesterday. There’s a half-eaten tuber of yam in the kitchen, it’s sprouted this scary looking stem-like shoot. My mother looked at it and said wistfully, “If only I had a yam farm.” 😀
I love how you found beauty in such a random thing. Have a lovely week.

Ginger, I purchased a root for an adventurous chinese recipe. A piece was removed, I snapped it off and grated as was suggested, the dish was a winner and alas the ginger left in the mortar with pestle lying alongside on the kitchen sill. Two weeks passed and I notices what looked like bulging warts protruding from the ginger. Being frugal I thought I would plant some in a pot… just to see if it grew. That is where we are at now… waiting. 😇

I like such frugality. Makes a lot of sense and room for exciting things. You never know 🙂

It is kind of beautiful in its way. When it grows up, I can just imagine a boy clambering up it to the Land of Giants.

This gave me pause! Life continues no matter the ‘pause’ we face …
