You are welcome to our Valentine Blog Bash.

Just make yourself comfortable.

Refreshments are nicely arranged down the page. Drinks, Chocolates, Cakes, Donuts and so much more. 🙂

This video had me cracking.

You can crack your Poetic Prowess by taking part in continuing this tag along poem below. The full poem will be published on my Tuesday’s Trivia with every part attributed to the contributor. So here goes…

Her eyes shone with tears

That clung to her lashes

She glanced at the ring

It’s twinkles brought back flashes

Okay, so here are the rules of partying and mingling.

  1. You must mix and mingle with others. Don’t be a wall flower. Go say hello to someone and you can participate in the Tag a poem up above.
  2.  Please leave your blog link or post link in the comment box below along with an introductions.
  3. It’s one link per comment, but come back as often as you’d like, that way it’s easier to focus on a link at a time for others.
  4. Please reblog, spread the word of the party like butter, or like, share on Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, Facebook, etc. Tell your family, friends,  bloggingneighbours, even your blogging pets.
  5. Have fun, it’s a great way to find bloggers and have them find you.
  6. Please show some love. Reblog this post. It helps all of us! The more people that see and participate in it, the more potential new follows! So, share and share voraciously!

There we have it. Since all the rules have been clearly explained, have fun and make the most of it 🙂

Thank you for coming to my party and supporting my blog. You rock.

  1. Hi Jacqueline, this party is really rocking!
Here’s my latest post, with my contribution to your poetry tag (copied below):

    Epiphany

    The really special thing
    About our love is this
When your not in my arms
    Your pheromones I constantly miss!

  2. Wow, this is amazing! All these wonderful people!! Hi Everyone! I’m Paula! I live in Washington state! My blog is a lot about my running and training as my husband and I wanting to run a race in every state (I run half-marathons, he runs full marathons). But I also have a lot of other “life” stuff I like to write about as well! BTW, I’m not one of those fast runners, I tend to plod along the best I can, but the main point is that I do it regardless. My mantra is “I can and I will, watch me,” because there ain’t no one who is going to dare tell me I can’t do something just because I don’t fit the stereotype! 😀
In the meantime, here are some pictures of Seattle to enjoy! http://neveradullbling.com/2016/02/12/echoes-of-my-neighbourhood-9/

    1. Hey, I like your counter in the sidebar that says how much time until your next running event!… I have to get one of those for the time when I row up the Thames in the wake of the Three Man in a Boat (Not to Mention the Dog)… 🙂
      http://philturton.dscloud.me/wordpress/2016/02/06/books-that-transport-you/

Unfortunately it’s only a plan at the moment – not only it’s way too cold but I need some training to be able to row upriver for more than a hour or two!!!… My husband is trying to convince me that it’d be much more pleasant hiring a gin-palace instead of a Thames skiff but it strikes me as sadly unadventurous. If you have any tips on how to get someone to commit to serious training, I’d love to hear it! 🙂

      Liked by 4 people

      1. Hahaha! I’ve been up that river in winter… I think a gin-palace would be the way to go for this time of year! Although what a fabulous goal that would be for summer! Hmmm, tips on serious training… consistency and perseverance! Your heart has to be in it full-on to be serious about it… OR, try it without the serious training, realize how hard it is and how necessary that training is, then go back and do it properly! 😀 It just all depends on how bad you want it! Do you belong to a rowing club? If not, I highly suggest joining one! That’ll keep you motivated in training… you’ll have a ton of people relying on you that you won’t want to let down! If you truly are going to try that, I wish you good luck! I think it’s awesome!

      2. I never thought about a rowing club… what a good idea! I have to look into it. I was only thinking about the a pond nearby where one can hire a rowing boat but at prices like £10 for half an hour, I think we’d run out of money before we built up sufficient muscle. 🙂 And it’s only a pond – no current to row against. At the moment, I wouldn’t be fit to row more for than a couple of hours max, going upriver – that won’t be sufficient for the project we have in mind!

Oh,and thank you Jacqueline for receiving me at the door. I know, these don’t look delicious…but I just managed to tackle traffic on the road,at the supermarket,at the bakery…boy,is it a wrong day to be running late!
And you try coming up with a fancy ensamble at the back of a three wheeled taxi.Yep…will just set this here and head over to the remaining treats. I would advice against eating them…there was a lot of dropping and picking up during the ensamble, but it may work out for you if you need an immunity boost.
So if one asks who brought along the ugly ensamble on the ugly plate with a leaf on top that was definitely not edible…you may want to whisper so you don’t hurt my feelings…just go ahead and tell them…

  11. (now that the salmon is officially known to be over. stands on the centre table)
OHKAYYYY!!! So the salmon is fine, people. Sorry about the misunderstanding about it being poisoned. We’ve checked and it’s clean. Absolutely clean. So, it’s 40 dollars a piece. Only 40 Dollars .. Who wants Salmon? Just 40 per piece.

You ….? the whole thing .. sure..? Okay! That would be 600 dollars.
WHAT?!!! it’s 600 Dollars for the whole sandwich lady! Come on, you want or not?

Mad or what???? That was 40 dollars a bite. for the whole sandwich it”s 600 dollars. Come on quick, I don’t have all night.

Slices and gives half sandwich . WHHAAAT??? That half sandwich was the original portion size on the food table. You want double portion, shell out 1500 dollars man. And I’ll even throw in a cupcake that Lisa made.

Meanwhile, I can contribute some home-made cake with candied lemon and orange peel, cinnamon, almonds, applesauce and other juicy things in it.
I can also offer everyone some home-made Indian chai with ground cinnamon, cardamom, clove and black pepper, along with chopped ginger, milk and brown sugar in it.

  17. Hello everyone and Happy Valentine Day (it hasn’t started yet over here as it is 06:40 am Sunday now , so officially I am not late yet right ? And if I am , just a bit , well I’m a Turtle ) 🙂
I see everyone has been having a blast including a certain girl – no not naming – who hoarded all the salmon and the grapefruit juice . No problem , I’ll try some of Lisa’s cake – it can’t be as bad as she says – and some of Jacqueline’s chocolates . Here , try this delicious “Moscatel” sweet wine from my country that I brought just for you 🙂
Thank you Jacqueline , this was a great idea and a very funny party to attend , you certainly know how to receive your guests .
Ah ! that detail …I am a Turtle and some days I am an Otter who tries to write/blog at https://theturtleway.wordpress.com/ 😉
And now I’m going to mingle …that’s what you do at a party , right ???

I also happen to do a lot of mingling 😀 So why not tell me who you are? Come introduce yourself at https://thoughtsofatrainwreckedpineapple.wordpress.com/

Take out off your shoes, please. No taking shoes inside. That would be 100 dollars, redunbale deposit. Do pineapples eat salmon? No, only water? Ok. Water is free, the glass is 50 dollars. Thank you very much!
(runs away with the shoes, shouting)
The price just went up . it’s 2000 Dollars now, if you want them back.
