My Thinking Corner

Tuesday Trickles – My Thinking Corner

picsart_10-25-07-21-031

When we begin to feel guilt for failing in doing certain things, it’s a good indication that we are possibly overloaded.

It’s often better to cut out trivial chores and pastimes here and there and face the vital stuff until we are able to get it together.

It’s also okay to be kind to yourself when you fall behind. No! You don’t have superpowers 😉

Some days I’m stuck, not knowing what to write – I guess that’s why 50 blog post ideas and activities to beat the bloggers’ block is great, but I also realized that it’s okay not to be fully optimized in my thoughts every day. Some days, my brain just wants to be chill.

Problematic We  A thought-provoking post.

The perception we have about their reality may be imaginative. Maybe problems do not exist. Maybe our mind is a factory which creates a problem. Maybe our problems are illusions.

Gratitude

For The Gifts That Come From Above – Personal

picsart_10-19-03-53-541

There were times in the past that I climbed the steep heights of elation and then came crashing down to nothingness, that I was left feeling like a happiness junkie always in search of that elusive happy rush and when it wasn’t present I felt that everything was wrong with my world.

It took the conscious stepping back and trying to understand myself, trying to break down my issues, compartmentalize and address them one by one to grasp what was going on and how to deal with them.

The tendency was that if something was not right in one aspect of my life – for instance, shortage of finances, I would allow that to dictate how I felt about every other thing, thus missing the beautiful and little things that made my life better.

It’s taken years, soul searching and being in the moment to come to the point where I deal with issues as they are and not allow it/them to mar the rest of my joy.

As I sit writing this little note, I look back and I’m amazed at how the simple journey of journaling my gratitude and making the effort to discover myself inside this body of mine has helped me learn to live in the moment and to appreciate every bit of it.

I no longer seek the happiness rush from momentary elation, rather, I’m charting a steady course of contentment gained from living life itself.

I am thankful for journey mercies bestowed on my husband who returned last night from Toronto. For the great things and little things that I’ve been able to achieve, for the thoughts, inspirations, and imaginations that flood my mind, for vitality and the drive to stay focused and keep moving forward. These are not things that I could buy with money, but they are gifts that come from above.

The difference between who you are right now and who you seek to be lie in what you choose to do. Are you taking the right steps?

♦  If you have a dream, yet you choose to do nothing, be rest assured that it will never materialize.

♦  A dream works when you work on it. It may be slow in arriving, but consistently taking the rights steps, slowly but surely will get you to your desired goal.

Midnight motivation and musings

Midnight Motivations and Musings 112

picsart_10-09-06-55-251

It is natural to suffer trepidation and even fear when we are experiencing dark moments in our lives. These challenges could be daunting to such an extent that we stall and lose sight of how far we’ve come and the focus on where we are heading to.

When we go through disconcerting moments, we may actually get to our brightest moments and experience far more growth than we anticipated because our deepest struggles have a way of refining us and making room for enlightenment and growth.

The important thing is to keep picking yourself up and keep moving forward no matter how many times you stumble. You will look back and be amazed at how far you came and you’ll leave your situation behind feeling far more fulfilled.

Sometimes, life pushes us through these difficulties so that we don’t become blasé, life keeps us dreaming and reaching for more.

  • Keep reminding yourself that you’ve got unlimited potential.
  • Rejoice in your unlimitedness and know that within and before you lies infinite possibilities in every area.

Our minds are completely connected and serve as a guide to how we shape and reshape our lives and even our bodies to further achieve greater potentials. You can either spend your time griping and begrudging everything that’s not going as it should or you could spend your time expanding your thoughts, thinking about worthwhile experiences.

Loving yourself, living in the moment and dwelling on happy thoughts is the quickest route you can take to create or recreate a wonderful life for yourself.

Most times, finding out who we are beneath the physical attributes which encase our being is the most difficult and profound journey that we can ever embark on, yet self-discovery is the most rewarding journey of all.

The difficulty experienced by most while on this path is the ability to turn off all the outside noise and to search within. To shut their eyes to all the external fluff and see through the eyes’ of their soul.

Sometimes, we’ve got to cut off a lot of the mindless activities that we crowd our mind with because they tend to drown out our inner voice and leave us with nothing.

Sometimes, we’ve got to simply breathe and learn to live.
