Todayβs featured blogs are:
VoulaahΒ African braids and twists go a long way back in history. In Egypt during the eras of Pharoahs, one had to be a member of the royal lineage or the deputies to make their hair in such manner that was considered sexy and seductive.Introducing Anita who shows us snippets of this.
Giving 4 little thingsΒ Dehan shows us how we can give in little ways that takeΒ nothing away from us π
Watching the daisiesΒ When I say that I learn so much from what I am doing, I am not exaggerating. This healing power in colour visualization is something that I am definitely going to try and it costs nothing. You could check it out. You never know how helpful it might be to you.
LuanneΒ of following seas reminds me with this quote ‘Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other. ~ Abraham Lincoln,Β why I like visiting her blog. A fresh view of Lincoln memorial took me back to my visit to Washington and the priceless monuments of history that lines its horizons.
It’s me SaraaΒ I enjoyed getting to know a bit more about Saraa. She’s a delightful, friendly young lady who’s been a warm support in this space.
KidnappedΒ I have been following Mel’s book series Curse breaker for some time as well as others. Mel is such a passionate writer and I remember very well that these words of her personal experience that I quote below, kept me going back.
Today, two years ago was the last time I saw or spoke to my sister. I was rewriting the opening chapters of Curse Breaker: Enchanted and its two sequels when she died hence the posts. Her last words to me were a heartfelt plea that IΒ write all myΒ stories and publish them. I promised herΒ that and she left.
I didnβt know then that she would be dead in five days. I didnβt know those would be the last words weβd ever speak to each other. I didnβt know that was the last time I would ever see her face to face.
Please visit their blogs and say hello. A few minutes may gain you a friendly support.

There are times that I have been asked how I can prove that there’s a God and I have always responded with the same quote above.
God is God all by Himself. I cannot limit him by trying to define him in the human context, neither can I constrain his Supreme presence because I seek for him to appear before me so that the doubting Thomases can believe that he exists.
I would rather believe deeply in God and live my life serving him through my fellowship with othersΒ than to spend a thousand years drifting in disbelief.
Every day, I see God. I see him in the gurgling laughter of a little child. I see him in the brilliance of the shining Sun, I see him in the birds that roam free and feed on the fat worms of the earth, I see him in the flowers that bloom in glorious colours, I see him in the love of my children and husband, I see him in everything that surrounds me.
Do you see God?

No, I have no idea why he’s covering his face π
We make plans about all that we want in life, but life makes its plans for us as well.
We have a good idea of the structure of how we want it to turn out, but something derails us along the way.
At times, these curve balls actually end up helping to straighten and put us on the right path.
It all depends on how we respond to the challenges and detours that we are offered.
Do we choose to see every strike and fall with a jaundiced eye?
Such an approach bodes chances that we could become embittered and probably lose sight of the little openings and apertures that these lessons offer.
We shouldΒ focus on other possible alternatives that may be available to us.

When I started my blog eleven months ago, I decided to take it a day at a time and see where the path is leading to.
I didn’t want to jumpstart far too many things and it would become difficult to get a grip on what exactly it is that I am doing here.
As each blogging day goes by, my vision for my blog keeps becoming crystal clear and I want to raise the bar a notch higher. It’s all part of the evolving and change. We have to keep aiming for growth.
My blog is a primarily a lifestyle blog and not just self-centric focused blog. I am a very community minded person and in as much as my blog is my voice in this space, it’s a space for all of us.
I am introducing Β a weekly GUEST POST (4 times a month) and Interview opportunities to other bloggers.
I am also available to write guest posts if you require that.
The guest posts that I seek are posts that will enhance and improve the lives of others. It would be on topics such as (but not limited):
Parenting, Family, Relationships, Finance, Exercise, Health, Wellness, Inspirational, Motivational, Security, Cooking, Lifes Lessons, Self-Help etc.
On the interview aspect, I am introducing bi-monthly interviews of fellow bloggers, which will involve short snippets about you and a feature of your blog.
Lastly, after due consideration and due to the success of parties that I hosted in the past, my theme blog party will take place once every month. I am contemplating the 3 or last weekend of the month.
So, tell me what you think. Please, and thank you.
If you are interested in the guest post or interview, you can send me an email JacquelineObyIkocha@gmail.com or check my ‘getting in touch page’
I might also knock on your door, so don’t be surprised if you see me outside π

Life lived dancing to the tunes of misery wears out the soul living it.
Yes indeed, our days are not always smiles and sunshine, but the truth is that misery and negativity are barely a head’s turn away and once you give it room, it becomes a permanent tenant and a difficult one to evict.
A lot of Β times when I am feeling down, I might brood for a while, but with training my mind to shut off the negative raps, I endeavour not to stew in it by getting engaged in little things that will uplift my mind and take the focus off me.
Not the easiest thing to do at times, but the alternative is worse.
