A Slice Of Cake and A Brunch….

The outpour of gracious birthday wishes from all of you has been far beyond my expectations.

I truly appreciate your gesture. The gift of even a moment of your time and kind thoughts are invaluable.

I will get round to responding to all the lovely comments that were sent my way. It’s unlike me to delay in responding, but it’s been a hectic weekend with my young son under the weather, dashing in and out of the hospital and trying to have a little birthday time as well.

Well on a sweet note, I saved a slice of cake for you, so do have one slice of virtual cake on my behalf 🙂

Secondly, I want to ask a quick question with regards to the posts links that I have been featuring daily.

I like to take stock and review my actions as much as possible and would like to know if it has been useful in any form?

Then finally to THE INVITATION, I will be hosting a PRE-EASTER BRUNCH this weekend and you are cordially invited to the Easter egg hunt, mingling, connecting and blog-hopping.

The last shindig held in this abode was popping hot and we all had a good time. I hope this will be equally as delightful, if not better 🙂

When You Want To Go Far…

The funny African proverb that says ‘when we all piss together it foams’ comes to my mind as I write this post.

Another one equally states that ‘when you want to go fast, you go alone, but if you want to go very far, you go with others.’

For the first time, I will be hosting a blog party (Valentine Shindig) and hopefully, from then I will continue hosting a monthly blog-hop meet ups to encourage newbies as well as the older ones to mingle and develop a cohesive community.

I sent out feelers to feel the pulse of my readers and not only has the response been awesome but the support as well and I cannot fail but to express my appreciation.

A good number of lovely bloggers have shown their support and encouragement to me by re-blogging and tweeting my invitation and posts in this regard and it totally fills me with a sense of gratitude and joy.

There is no way that I would be able to do it by myself or to cover as much ground if not for the generosity and support that I have received from a good number of you.

I am thankful and indeed grateful to have supportive friends in this community and as is said in my place ‘the fowl does not forget the person that allowed her to roost by her fireplace during the raining season. ‘During your rainy days, may you find a warm fireplace to roost.’

Let’s Have ‘An I Love You’ Party…

We are approaching the commercial month of love, though I am of the opinion that love should be a practiced existential part of our everyday lives. Sometimes, I kinda feel that the commercializing of valentine is a bit much, but that’s just my opinion.

Why don’t we have a lovely, lovey-dovey blog hopping party weekend :0))

If you are interested, I can be the hostess. Just sending out feelers.

There will be lots of candles and flowers, cakes and chocolates too *at least virtually* and we can share loads of links to our soppy love stories – non-fiction or fiction, poems, lyrical prose, pictures etc.

Posts that tugs at the heartstrings, plasters smiles on our faces and makes you bring out your scented tissue box.

Let’s make it a date ‘cos I am falling in love with you 😉
