How contented are you? Or are you fussing and cussing and getting mad over everything?

My journey to a healthier me

For all those of us battling with the scale and wishing we could whittle the fat away. This great post is for you.

I’ve decided to accept all of me…every beautiful curvaceous rounded edge and corner of my body. I am proudly me. I had to get to a point where I started to love myself. I just needed to stop the battle within myself against myself. Self-acceptance became my focus point instead of pushing away this beautiful person based on a number on the scale.

Awesome Awetism Adventures

What brilliant idea this is. I simply love it. Take a quick peek.

Raising Teens

Our children emulate us. Most of their attitude/behaviour is learned and this is largely from their homes. If we are not better adults, how exactly do we expect to have better children?

Bullying starts at home. It starts with adults who see no problem with posting brutal responses to tragic stories because they need to feel that they are better than others—just as a school-yard bully would do; they need to claim the position as better parents, better guardians of their teens, more efficient workers, etc. This competition is so destructive to society.

Finding a happy disposition in a sea of disparate negativity

Fabulous post!

Choose to be the type of person that everyone wants to work with, to talk to, to collaborate with…a positive and happy disposition is a cohesive force!

For the first time…

Richie was so excited that his heart literally burst with pride. Finally, not only was he now part of the team, he also scored a winning goal.

For the first time in forever, someone felt that he was good enough to step away from the bench by the sidelines’ where he always sat watching.

Ever since Mr. Pierson became the school coach, his life changed for the better.

He was no longer considered the slow boy, the odd one out, the autistic child who didn’t seem to fit in.

Mr. Pierson was so inclusive and encouraging. He simply brought the best out of his students, which was so unlike the previous coach who never wanted to be bothered with the special needs children.

Tuesdays Trickles – My Thinking Corner 31

Every Tuesday, I share snippets of thoughts that I call ‘My Thinking Corner.’

I would like to invite you to participate. The challenge is quite simple. You can check this link for more details.

♦  When you are feeling down, by all means, don’t ignore your feelings, acknowledge and ‘deal with them,’ if you don’t you’ll simply pile them up that one day it becomes an avalanche.

♦  Do not stay down for too long, for climbing out of a rock-bottom pit is far more difficult than falling into it.

With the way life has been, it’s no surprise if anyone feels down, but the hard truth is that it’s probably never going to be a smooth sailing life ever, so except one wants to remain down and rock-bottom out, it’s better to acknowledge the problems especially if you can’t run away from them and begin to apply your own practical and sensible solutions in dealing with those that are within your purview.

It’s just one chance that we’ve got to live this life and we’ve got to keep giving it the best shot.

BEAUTIFUL posts from Deborah and Petra:

Joyful childlike qualities: this post touches me that I have no precise words to express how Deborah’s connection and words about her autistic brother make me feel. Stephen lives life in the present moment with childlike enthusiasm 🙂

Look up: sometimes things may not go exactly as we wish them to, but they only challenge us to look up and see other alternatives and narratives.

Please do step in and share a moment or two. One thing that I have learnt with doing this exercise is that I have always come away far more enriched than I set out.
