Rube knows that Sebastian is not in her league. As a country girl, his slick city ways are a novelty and disturbing, but everytime he honks his horn, her heart skips a mile.
She knows she would regret her actions tomorrow, yet the pull of attraction is all she can follow as she hurries to his Jaguar.
Word meaning – Rube – A rube is a country bumpkin or an awkward inexperienced, unsophisticated person. Rube is also a nickname.
I am always puzzled
at how some folks
delight in stirring pots of unrest
in the lives of others,
yet, they want to go home
and expect to have peace in their lives.
In my place, we say that
he who brings in an insect-infested log
has invited lizards for a feast.
The Western world
has benefitted immensely,
from destabilising and destroying Nations.
For Centuries they did and still do this,
but they complain about a handful of immigrants
fleeing the unrest caused by them.

We’re caught in the euphoria of wedded bliss,
where everything melts away into oblivion
we are caught in our own whole new world

In chase of a dream, he kept funnelling their money into his bogus projects and his wife thought he had simply gone mad.

now, I truly see your colours in high definition.

The Daily Post – Torn
I stood at this corner of Deira for mere minutes and in those minutes I lost count of the number of people and cars that shuffled past me.
We learn by imitation
from the time we are conceived
to the time we die
we recite our words and thoughts
and in most cases
these things frame our lives
Most take on the whispers
that has floated into their ears
as a guiding principle for their lives
and when those whispers
are the drippings of a venomous mind
what happens to the child being fed?

No two sunsets are the same and I am always drawn to look at the beautiful strokes and hues of orange and yellow that it paints the sky. No matter how many times I’ve seen the sun set, my spirit still hums in contentment when gazing at that gorgeous shiny ball hanging up there.
