When we give voice to the dark silence in us, we heal parts of us that would otherwise stay broken.

Depression is a silent enemy. It steals in to steal from you.
i’ve walked the fringes of darkness
where i felt the hard blunt bleakness of pain
and the stark reality of depression,
where i’ve queried the essence of life
in the time of such deep despair.
i’ve been beaten, molested and left to die,
i’ve stared death in the face many a times,
but only one whisper
kept me hanging on to the thread;
hope, that one day
this too shall pass,
and in the midst of hope
let my life be a lamp.

There’s nothing to romanticize about depression! It’s not a good place to be. Take it from me.
The more they want to shut you down, the louder your voice becomes.

There are those who are not only distractions in our lives, but their main purpose is to trip us up on our path. Sadly, there are those who find joy in our despair.

makes me fly

On days misery eats at me
I listen to classical music,
eating dark chocolate and
chewing the fat on pages
of Pulitzer winning literature,
just in case anyone ever died from misery
and I end up being one of such ‘anyone’
at least I shall be found
keeled over genius stuff and
looking halfway intelligent
