Inertia

My state of being towards my blogging and writing has felt like a butterfly caught in a glass jar, but I guess it can’t be classified as anything other than ‘inertia.’ I have searched for the appropriate words, but they elude me. Every day, making a post has been on my mind and most times, I’ve opened my blog, stared at it, not knowing what to say, I simply close it.

A bazillion thoughts, yet none coherent enough to stay attentive. I wanted to say hello and ask how you are doing? I wanted to say Merry Christmas. I wanted to say Happy New Year.  I wanted to share all my news – unfiltered – with you – and I will.

I need to get reinspired and reinvigorated. Life has had me on a rollercoaster of vicious challenges that sometimes, I feel as if my breath is being slowly cut off, but I will not dwell on such things at this moment. It sure feels good to type again, however, let me pause my typing and go visiting.

  1. I think I resemble this post myself! Looking at posts though foggy glass wanting to comment more and it sure what to put. Side effect of writing and blogging mojo maybe? New year I am hoping to reset that. Hopefully you’ll soon be back on form.

      1. When they appear the struggles are always very real. Often appearing easily and a right pain to shift. Rather like bad habits. New year is a good time to try and exorcise them too. At least that’s what I’m saying to myself!! All the very best to you too Jacqueline.

  2. Jacque, it is so good to see you this morning. I was thinking of you last night as I recalled stalwarts who had helped me trough my first year or two of blogging. One has to prioritize her time and there might be other things that need you more than bloggers, but remember you do have an important ministry here so please do check in on occasion. We need your presence. 😀

    1. My lady, it’s good to hear from you and to see you once again. I’ve surely missed you. You and several bloggers were always on my mind during my absence. Though I was doing what needed to be done, I also felt like a part of my family albeit online was missing. I need your presence as much 🙂

      1. Sorry I didn’t find this earlier. I have had to miss some reading. Maybe for some reason you need me today to say I love and appreciate what you are to me. I know you are important to many. Wishing you all the best.

  3. I feel the same! I needed a break during the holidays, and didn’t want to force a post that wasn’t there. Or maybe it was on my mind, but I never got to it… was enjoying spending time with my family💖 wishing you a wonderful year ahead!

  4. Hi, Jacqueline! You basically said Hello, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year so don’t worry about it. I spent all of last year fighting a shoulder injury and had surgery on it last month so like it or not, life happens. I didn’t get everything I wanted to get to done but I did get some things done so that’s something.

Just do what you can do, when you are ready to do it. It is nice to hear from you and know that you are alright. Happy New Year!

    1. I can imagine how uncomfortable a shoulder injury must be and thankfully you’ve got that sorted. Life certainly happens and we can’t avoid it even if we tried – except when we cease to breath. The grace to achieve the things we want will always be there for us.

Have a blessed year this 2019 and I hope you are recovering nicely.

  5. Good to see you again. I feel the same, there are other things in life which are taking precedence and must be attended to. The flow will gather itself when the time is right. Wishing you many blessings filled with miracle upon miracle and success upon success.

  7. It’s so good to hear from you, Jacqueline. We all need a break from blogging and other things in life. Sometimes, just posting “hello, it’s me” and include a lovely image will suffice. Happy New Year!

  8. Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! It’s good to see you!

All things need their season. Sometimes, you just need to step back a bit from the blogging, to learn how to appreciate it again. 🙂 And the lovely thing is, it will be here waiting for you when you’re ready. 🙂 ❤
