I went to buy a bit of ground cinnamon and found myself buying a few curious blend of spices that I’ve never tried before.
I also bought some Chickpeas that I’ll use to prepare Hummus and I’ll share the recipe with you later 🙂

I swoon in the spice sections of open markets. The aromas! I made hummus from dried chick peas without tahini once. Just once 😀 It was too grainy, flat (no matter what else I added) and hardly worth the work. Can hardly wait for your spin on hummus. It’s a natural blood-scrubber (cholesterol reducing qualities), so I’m a fan. And the mango salad was fabulous for lunch today!

Do you have to use chickpeas only? Will some other beans work? I wonder about blackeye peas as they don’t require soaking overnight. Will be looking forward to your recipe

I don’t know about black eye peas for hummus. I’ll ask my Arab friend. She’s teaching me some Middle Eastern cooking. Will share the recipe by the weekend.
