Mundane Monday challenge is created to find beauty in almost everything.
The challenge is simple : find beauty in everyday mundane things, capture the beauty and upload the photographs.
The friendly Moth on the window pane came flitting by to say hello where I sat outside having a bit of chill time with my daughter who was filling my ears with school stuff.
My girl squealed and took off so fast you would think the moth is a foe. We are all differently cut out.
Interestingly, she can stare at vile snakes (at the zoo) that mere thoughts of them gives me the heebie-jeebies, while a Moth gives her the shivers 🙂
I had to fish out facts about Moths to teach her that they are harmless.
Below is my first Poetry Book “Out of the silent breath” which is available on Amazon and Smashwords.
When you buy my book, you support me in an invaluable manner.

oooh. that can be true. our perspectives about one object, a moth for example, varies. and that somehow says if it is a friend or foe. 🙂

It reminds me of my ex-neighbour’s daughter. She would scream her lungs out and run as far away as possible whenever she saw a moth or a butterfly. But bring a gigantic dog in front of her and she’s as curious as a cat! 😀

They are fascinating – just the mechanics of their wings and feeding is awesome. I researched butterflies for the children’s story I wrote (Salma Butterfly) and I would imagine moths are very similar.

I side with your daughter. I dislike most bugs/insects of all types. I can put up with butterflies and Ladybugs. Usually though I detest spiders I leave them alone because my Dad used to tell me that it was bad luck to kill a spider. And like you I loathe snakes. But snakes eat rats. Maybe NYC can put snakes in strategic parts of New York City like the subway to eat the rats!! Ugh!!

It’s always interesting to see what people dislike or like. I loathe snakes like you do. I keep my distance from spiders and a rat would probably give me palpitations.

I agree with you. They fascinate me, but like is commonly said, one man’s meat is the others poison. Thank you Jithin 🙂
