It’s Party Time!!! Come right in 👡👢👞🎶

Juice[1]

Hop in, grab a drink and let’s get this party started.

You are most welcome do make yourself comfortable.

Refreshments are nicely arranged down the page: Drinks, Chocolates, Cakes, Donuts, freshly squeezed juice, Coffee, Tea and so much more. :-)

We even have an Intercontinental Chef in the house. Go right ahead  and place your orders😉

Just the little rules of play:

  1. You must mix and mingle with others. Don’t be a wallflower. Go say hello to someone and you can participate in the Tag a poem up above.
  2.  Please leave your blog link or post link in the comment box below along with introductions.
  3. It’s one link per comment, but come back as often as you’d like, that way it’s easier to focus on a link at a time for others.
  4. Please reblog, spread the word of the party like butter, or like, share on Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, Facebook, etc. Tell your family, friends,  blogging neighbours, even your blogging pets.
  5. Have fun, it’s a great way to find bloggers and have them find you.
  6. Please show some love. Reblog this post. It helps all of us! The more people that see and participate in it, the more potential new follows! So, share and share voraciously!

There we have it. Since all the rules have been clearly explained, have fun and make the most of it :-)

Thank you for coming to my party and supporting my blog. You rock.

© Jacqueline Oby-Ikocha.

Below are little games you might want to participate in while you imbibe all the food, drinks, and good music.

Attempt the Riddle, exercise your brain

A farmer is trying to cross a river with a bag of corn, a hen, and a fox. The farmer’s boat is only big enough to take himself and one other item per trip. The hen cannot be left alone with the corn or she will eat it. Likewise, the fox cannot be left with the hen, or the hen will be eaten. How does the farmer get all three items across the river?

Spot the difference

Add to the story below

He read the letter for the third time,  shook his head and slammed his palm on the wooden desk.

The poor old desk groaned under the force of his strength.

Someone has a question to answer,” Hunter growled.

…..You can continue from here 🙂

Entertainment is this way. We don’t skimp on things in my house, so please help yourself 🙂

  1. Well well this is a party! The freshly squeezed juice is so refreshing…can I have another glass please? Why is the music man so late? I need to get rocking…

While I’m waiting on the DJ let me mingle a bit.

    1. I do believe you’ve started on the right foot, you take the hen first then you go back and get the fox. Once you’ve ferried the fox over you take the hen back to the first bank, swap the hen for the corn and ferry the corn over to the bank with the fox. Drop off the corn and head back to the first bank to grab that hen and ferry it across, and that’s the last trip all three have made it to the second bank.

  4. Adding to the story :
Hunter, holding the letter in his other hand, waved it vehemently in the air. “How did this get here tell me that! Who wrote it? It’s FULL of lies!! Innuendos! Rubbish is what it is!”
He turned his one good eye on each person in turn seated at the bar. Without exception, they all shrugged and turned their backs on him.
That aggravated him even more than the letter.

I will be back later for mingling and treats, I must go buy some eyeglasses today so I can read everyone’s wonderful words and posts!!! Please do stop by to visit me at:

      1. Hey Steph!! I just returned from running errands…one of them was to get new eyeglasses. I was unsuccessful in picking out new frames however I did narrow down what I like…plan on going again next week. I had not been to the eye doctor in 5 years and I could tell my right eye had gotten weaker…well it really got alot weaker..the dr. said it would fail the Reg of Motor Veh tests! He said my eyes were healthy though so that’s a good thing!!
Well enjoy mingling, I’ll be over later!! 🙂

    1. Hi Deb,

Ah, you’ve just reminded me, I need to get new frames for my glasses, my colleagues say that the ones I have now look very granny-ish. 😀

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

      1. Yeah mine are 7 or 8 years old…time for a change for me too!! Good luck, I wonder…do you need to try on every pair of frames before deciding or is it just me? 😉 Happy Sunday to you!!

      1. Hey hey….I wasn’t home yesterday or today (in Lafayette), so while we did get rain back with my family about 35 minutes south of Lafayette (in Iberia parish), it wasn’t nearly as bad as north Lafayette. I live on the south side of Lafayette so our roads were okay, especially later this evening when I drove home. But I know they shut down hwy 49 around I-10, maybe…coming and going north and south. Around sunset, grand coteau, Opelousas, etc. I work for school board and we received a call that schools in and around that area (carencro, too)are closed. Cars were submerged as per the local news. That was this morning…it’s quite soggy here, but worse about 30 minutes north. ⛈⛈⛈🌧🌧

  8. I love bloody Mary’s….Its like eating lunch and drinking at the same time, with a buzz…I always make sure when i buy a bloody mary, it has the spicy green beans…If they are not included, I wont buy it. Once or twice i have even brought a jar of the beans in my purse and added them to the drink myself. Thats dedication! Enjoy your cocktail!!

  14. Hi nice to meet everyone and thank you Jacqueline for being such a gracious host. Congratulations on the release of your poetry book. That is so exciting! I saw some sort of red/slushy drink it’s only 10:13 am but as the song goes ‘It’s five O’clock somewhere,” Also, I’ve honestly never had a macaroon, the kind they make in your picture, so I will try one of those. Bad breakfast but oh well.

My name is Amanda and here is a link to a recent blog post. I am finishing up the first draft of a paranormal romance or let’s just say fairytales and magic have a big place in this book along with my heroin Nina and the man she is falling for John. I also writer shorter fiction pieces, nonfiction, and a great deal of poetry. I will post another link with a piece of poetry. Great to meet you and all find some excellent blogs to read 🙂

  16. I always love participating in Jacqueline’s writing games. Here is my continuation:

“What kind of question?” Hunters wife Maggie asked. She saw the angry scowl on her husbands face and knew something was wrong before even muttered his thoughts aloud.

“It’s that damn neighbour again. He complained to the city.”

“Why would he do that?” Maggie asked.

“Because I can’t cut the grass. He’s upset says it brings down the value of everyone else’s property.” Hunter said sighing. Maggie put her hand on Hunter’s arm.

“It was Jerry right? I’ll go talk to him. That stupid man doesn’t understand how hard it is to mow grass when you’ve had your legs blown off in war.” Hunter looked at Maggie gratefully.

Sorry hope this isn’t too long. I’ve looked around for right no and hoping to make it back but I’m not sure I’ll be able. Here is one more link to a piece of poetry. I’ve been participating in National Poetry Writing Month. It’s fun but challenging to write a prompted poem everyday.

  18. Hi y’all I am sorry to be late! Today has been my first real day on cause I have been very ill. So, I don’t have a particular post to share but here is my link and if you visit my older stuff like in March and before is best. I do a lot on my blog such as “my thinking corner” with host Jacqueline on Tuesday’s and “interview with a blogger” I have done some really good interviews and if your interested in becoming my next victim let me know! Oh yeah my guest author Lori Carlson does “Self Discovery Sunday” on my blog that anyone can take part in. I suggest it to all because you always have room for growth and changes. Now, I did A to Z challenge and luckily I had them pre-sched so, that is over….lol please visit my blog and have a look around! I’m off to party. I brought fried chicken, tater salad, and watermelon!
