I Caught Her In The Nook!…

She was lost in those pages. Even when I bent down to look for a book and said hello, she barely raised her head.

Must be a very compelling book hence the desire to finish it quickly before leaving the bookstore.

It made me smile 🙂

  1. What a great sight to behold! Reminds me of my days of buying books at Prince International in Enugu. I would stand in one corner and scan the pages of each book to make sure I would enjoy the story before buying. My hard earned pocket money would not be in vain lai lai. And you know how one is NOT allowed to scan books in Naija. My saving grace was that I always ended up buying at least one book, if not, the shopkeepers would have chased me away with a broom on each occasion. 😀

How I wish that Nigerian youths of today still read novels like this.

    1. Arrgh Flo you take me back to yester-years o. Chai! Nne, I would hasten to try and finish a book or stylishly hide it in a corner so that I can finish it the following day. It’s such a shame to see brains wasting away these days :/

  2. There is nothing better than a good book to read and a quiet corner to read it in. A true blue blooded reader can find a niche anywhere to sit/stand and read. I love to see book readers too, especially on train and bus commutes.
