All In A Milli-Second…

Couple in shadow

It started in just a second,
‘Cos that’s what he reckons.
He met her at a function,
Yes it was a luncheon.
In milliseconds their eyes clung,
He felt the air leave his lungs.
He knew that she was the one,
The sizzle she felt was no pun.
It’s been Forty years strong,
And they are still going on.

  1. Awe – that describes my parents. They met in college at a dance. My dad said he saw my mom across the room and just knew. He told me that a second earlier or later and he would have never met the love of his life. They were together for almost 47 years, married for 43 years, when she died. Thanks for sharing, you brought back some fond memories of a love story.
