Echoes Of My Neighbourhood # 6…
On Thursday’s, I share a picture about ‘Echos of my Neighbourhood.
I would like to invite you to participate. The challenge is quite simple.
Every Thursday, share a photo of bits and pieces of wherever you are at any point in time. It could be houses, backgrounds of your neighbourhood, activities and so forth and you can tag it Echos of my Neighbourhood, add my link to your post so that I will get the ping from your post.
Every other Thursday, I will publish a post with the links of all those who participated the previous week.
This is just a fun way of getting to see more of the World around us through your eyes, since we cannot all be at those places, we can at least see them through you.
I look forward to seeing your pictures.
Best regards,
Jacqueline Oby-Ikocha
For Last Echoes, the following interesting submissions came from :
In the bonnet from Mandibelle. Very cute and smile worthy. She has only grown bigger. 😉
This lovely trail from Wandering Poet. Calming environment. A good place to be
By the way, whose feet is bigger? By Kat Myrman of Mercury Colliding. I didn’t want to guess, lest I am wrong in my assumption. What do you think 😉
The Meeting Spot from Pancake Bunnykins seems like where some interesting conversation would go on.
Chemtrails in the sky from Spiritual Journey leaves you wondering. Take a look.
Let’s see some of yours PLLLEEEEAAAZZEE 🙂
Most times, your own grass is greener…
I am grateful for a time such as this. I know that I have a long way to go to achieve some of my goals and my dreams, but the fact that I have set off on my way, makes me excited each day as I key into the day to try and do the best that I can.
At this present time, I seriously appreciate where I am.
We humans always find something to groan and moan about, including the weather.
I watched the monster cold waves that hit some parts of China and I was literally sneezing by mere thoughts.
There is also heat wave in some parts of the World like Australia and South Africa and who knows where else.
So, I am thankful to be in-between. I have decided that my grass is green and I will try to stop peering at the neighbours manicured lawn.
What about you? What little thing do you have to be thankful for or are you busy stretching your neck beyond your own yard?
You might want to join Colline’s or Maria Jansson gratitude challenge platforms.
Kind regards,

Finish The Story #1… In The Saloon…
Alphabet story and I started the story chain below.
We now invite you to add to the story line 🙂

***************
Frank walks into the empty saloon.
It’s too early for the usual crowd.
Behind the bar, Brad is wiping down the counter and rearranging the bottles of the new order just received.
Tonight is the weekly lady’s night. He wants everything ready before they arrive and he gets swamped with orders.
Brad looks up at the sound of the opening door and sees the dude in the cowboy hat. He is an unfamiliar face.
‘Hello mate.’ Frank introduces himself, plunks down on a high bar stool and pulls out a picture from his pocket.
‘I am looking to meet this lady, Isobel. ‘Would you be knowing her whereabouts?’ He asked.
Brad is not sure what to make of the stranger and his question.
*****Now you can have fun and continue it. The picture could serve up some inspiration, and at the end of the trail of what we gather, we will publish the full length accrediting bits and pieces to the bloggers who contributed*******

Let Me Show You Something… Wordless Wednesday
Hear I Warble…Something New.
I laughed out very loud when I read this prompt, because I have been tinkering around with the voice recorder and I said to myself that WordPress is out to get me 😉
I have no particular reason to cringe at my own voice, other than the fact that I think my voice warbles instead of coming out smoother when I sing, but hey, I gotta love what I have.
So WordPress, the simple truth is that I can live with my voice. What would I do if I don’t like it? Nothing. So I have to love it’s dusky tone and squeeze the best out of my juke box.
I have been working on reading my poetry online, but still haven’t gotten round to doing so even though I have a few recordings of my voice.
In family videos, I am either running around serving everyone else, or laughing so loud that I doubt if I am ever caught looking as cool as cucumber.
So for the voice part here goes.
You be the judge.

What do you find more unbearable: watching a video of yourself, or listening to a recording of your voice? Why?

A Letter to Myself and to Everyone Out There
The candid emotions of this letter had me nodding every word of the way.
Inhale… Ronovan Writes Weekly Haiku # 88 Style and Fresh.
Two great words to use this week for Ronovan’s weekly haiku challenge. Style & Fresh.

He admires the style of her hair.
Leaning over, he inhales,
They smell like fresh cut summer flowers.

The tweed jacket is out of  style,
She clings to it nonetheless,
It reminds her of fathers fresh cologne.
