I am grateful for a time such as this. I know that I have a long way to go to achieve some of my goals and my dreams, but the fact that I have set off on my way, makes me excited each day as I key into the day to try and do the best that I can.
At this present time, I seriously appreciate where I am.
We humans always find something to groan and moan about, including the weather.
I watched the monster cold waves that hit some parts of China and I was literally sneezing by mere thoughts.
There is also heat wave in some parts of the World like Australia and South Africa and who knows where else.
So, I am thankful to be in-between. I have decided that my grass is green and I will try to stop peering at the neighbours manicured lawn.
What about you? What little thing do you have to be thankful for or are you busy stretching your neck beyond your own yard?
You might want to join Colline’s or Maria Jansson gratitude challenge platforms.
Kind regards,

I am thankful that I read your post first thing this morning. What a wonderful reminder to be grateful. I will carry this with me today – and focus on my own lawn.

I think I might be able to see a tiny speck of green blades of grass amidst this very brown lawn , if I strain my eyes quite a bit 😉 but yes they are there and I know it 🙂

Other than my family, which of course is a given, the main thing I am thankful for is the existence of doughnuts. 🙂

There is no green grass here, but sometimes the pure, white snow offers a blank slate–an opportunity for reflection and a fresh start. This is a great post!

Lovely post Jacqui, I am glad that my grass is green too, despite starting off with a little sprinkling of frost this morning. 🙂

Beautiful post. Can’t do neck stretching, but I try to explore. Being happy with our own green grass is the key to life. Appreciation, gratitude, and faith add so much beauty to our lives. It can turn the simple into sublime. Thank you so much for this wonderful post. It warmed me on this cold January day. Grateful to follow your blog.

For starter, I’m thankful for reading this post, it is a reminder for all of us to appreciate our life and then we will notice that there are many things to be thankful for.

Just as you said that many people complain about the weather, I am trying to have a more grateful mindset and appreciate it. It’s not so bad when it’s a little nippy or windy outside, at least we are alive to feel the wind blow through our hair, right? Anyway, thanks writing this!

Ok…confession…am a warm weather fan and winter is not my favorite. But you reminded me that without those cold, blistery days, I might not appreciate the warmer ones so much! Gratitude for my warm weather memories and the God-given ability to breathe in the air on all days!

A very nice reminder that we should be grateful for what we have. Sometimes we don’t realize how good we have it until we hear or read about someone less fortunate.

True indeed. We often tend to take things for granted.

I am thankful that I have not given up. No matter how far I fall, I always manage to get back up and it might be my mother’s tenacity or maybe my own spirit. I dunno but I am thankful that I never fall far enough to become hopeless. That is what I’m thankful for (or at least one thing.)
