Tuesday Trickles – My Thinking Corner

When we begin to feel guilt for failing in doing certain things, it’s a good indication that we are possibly overloaded.

It’s often better to cut out trivial chores and pastimes here and there and face the vital stuff until we are able to get it together.

It’s also okay to be kind to yourself when you fall behind. No! You don’t have superpowers πŸ˜‰

Some days I’m stuck, not knowing what to write – I guess that’s why 50 blog post ideas and activities to beat the bloggers’ block is great, but I also realized that it’s okay not to be fully optimized in my thoughts every day. Some days, my brain just wants to be chill.

It’s just an old, odd piece of wood that I saw while taking a walk. It could be classified as dead and rubbish but I had this pull to pick it up. I like to work with my hands on wood or pottery. It has a way of calming my mind.

An image of a polished piece, with aΒ carving, popped into my head, but I resisted and continued with my walk.

I felt that it would just lie in the pile of things that are eyeing me to do them, just like my basket of unfinished knitting and I decided this year to stop all the ‘start and not finishing’ projects as much as possible.

Now, for the past two days, the image meantΒ for the wood has been taunting me that I wonder if I should go and find that piece of wood?

The difference between who you are right now and who you seek to beΒ lie in what you choose to do. Are you taking the right steps?

♦ Β If you have a dream, yet you choose to doΒ nothing, be rest assured that it will never materialize.

♦ Β A dream works when you work on it. It may be slow in arriving, but consistently taking the rights steps, slowly but surely will get you to your desiredΒ goal.

What I find particularly interesting about this photo is that in trying to capture the traffic and lights outside, my reflection and other people in the room is caught as well. Don’t ask me how it occurred. I’ve no idea, I guess it’s all due to the lighting.

Midnight Motivations and Musings 112

It is natural to suffer trepidation and even fear when we are experiencing dark moments in our lives. These challenges could be daunting to such an extent that we stall and lose sight of how far we’ve come and theΒ focus on where we are heading to.

When we go through disconcerting moments, we may actually get to our brightest moments and experience far more growth than we anticipated because our deepest struggles have a way of refining us and making room for enlightenment and growth.

The important thing is to keep picking yourself up and keep moving forward no matter how many times you stumble. You will look back and be amazed at how far you came and you’ll leave your situation behind feeling far more fulfilled.

Sometimes, life pushes us through these difficulties so that we don’t become blasΓ©, life keeps us dreaming and reaching for more.

  • Keep reminding yourself that you’ve got unlimited potential.
  • Rejoice in your unlimitedness and know that within and before you lies infinite possibilities in every area.

Our minds are completely connected and serve as a guide to how we shape and reshape our lives and even our bodies to further achieve greater potentials. You can either spend your time griping and begrudging everything that’s not going as it should or you could spend your time expanding your thoughts, thinking about worthwhile experiences.

Loving yourself, living in the moment and dwelling on happy thoughts is the quickest route you can take to create or recreate a wonderful life for yourself.

Most times, finding out who we are beneath the physical attributes whichΒ encaseΒ our being is the most difficult and profoundΒ journey that we can ever embark on, yet self-discovery is the most rewarding journey of all.

The difficulty experienced by most while on this path is the ability to turn off all the outside noise and to search within. To shut their eyes to all the external fluff and see through the eyes’ of their soul.

Sometimes, we’ve got to cut off a lot of the mindless activities that we crowd our mind with because they tend to drown out our inner voice and leave us with nothing.

Sometimes, we’ve got to simply breathe and learn to live.

Losing Them, Finding Them – Mundane Monday

I had my mind set on another photo for today’s mundane Monday, but after the run around my car keys gave me, I felt they deserved a worthy mention this morning.

I had absentmindedly dropped the keys on the settee when I got home instead of hanging them on the hook where we keep keys and it decided to hide in the crevice of the cushions.

Phew! I had to search all my handbags and odd places, went downstairs to check if the car was still there ;-0 , retraced my steps, conversation,Β and actions before finally finding the dodgy thing. These are no simple keys! They have the power to detain you and make youΒ stew a bit.
